People who don't want to watch sports don't have to. I want to watch and certainly understand what the players are trying to say.

Just because LA took a stand against injustice doesn't mean they don't respect this country. Do you see the injustice and treatment that minorities get often more than seldom? You have unarmed black men constantly getting killed by police officers like their lives are nothing while the polices go home to their family with no punishment. The mother have to go bury her son who 9 times out of 10 was stereotyped and killed. There wasn't a big outrage when you had the event in Charlottesville VA and people were proud to be racist and prejudice, but someone doesn't participate in the National Anthem is an outrage. I don't understand.

how about a black man going into a church parking lot killing a woman there then going inside a church and shooting 6 more people where is the justice here the way I see it should be seen from both sides not just the back side its like every one blames the whites for all the blacks problems.

Did I say whites were to blame for all of black problems? Are you minority? Do you get sterotyped? Have you been pulled over by the cops because you look like you would commit a crime? Do you get followed in the store because you look like you will steal? Have you ever been asked why are you in this neighborhood "boy" just because it's a really nice subdivision? There is no perfect race, but I guarantee you if a white man and an African-American man committed the same crime, the punishment for the black man will be much severe. Just like the event in Charlottesville VA, the KKK and white supremacists had their way. The disrespected law enforcement like it was nothing, if that was black or brown people acting that way, they was would of gotten beaten, tear gas would of been thrown in the crowd, people would of went to jail and some would of been killed. No, whites are not the cause of all problems for blacks or minorities, but you can't honestly say that whites and minorities are treated equal in this country. I wonder how things would be if black officers went around killing young white boys because they looked suspicious or they thought they were reaching for something. I guarantee you that black officer will be thrown in jail. Let's not even get into the housing, employment and so on. If you really think it's equal, you got to be dreaming.

I go here against my own better judgment but picking examples of where a black person commits a crime (and oh by the way, most mass shootings have been perpetuated by white males) misses the point. The issue is structural racism related to racial profiling, job discrimination, housing discrimination, and so on and so forth.

L A Sparks disrespected our country and our flag. Their actions hurt the women's game. Pat would never condone a lack of respect for our country, our flag, and our veterans. Nor would she ever do anything to hurt the women's game.

I was so looking forward to this series. I don't even want to watch anymore. DISGUSTED.
Don't you dare presume to speak for Pat!!

wow, ppl we are all one fans.. calm down .

Sadly, when someone displays that kind of insensitivity toward an issue that negatively effects many of the fan base, the very nice idea that "we" are all one does not seem to apply.
