I'd say Australia over New Zealand. NZ is beautiful but more of a collective mindset than Australia.
My wife and I almost went to Australia in the mid '70s, the clincher was all the deadly poisonous critters that call Australia home. Australia was actively recruiting immigrants with skills in those days. One of my children
studied there for one semester.
I've met and talked with several people from both countries over the years, I would choose New Zealand.
The libs have about ruined Australia.
Gun control geeks have won the day there for one thing.
Their enviro nuts have more control in Australia than even here.
Iceland isn't all that bad, except for all that cold weather, earthquakes and volcanoes and oh yeah they are pretty 'socialist' however they don't have to pay the way for so many nonproductive immigrants of either the legal or illegal variety.
There are probably some Central American countries where the politics/ideology is worse but with cash you can live above it.
Everthing has a price in most Spanish speaking countries, bribery is the norm.
A friend of mine who once was a Vol football player bought himself a second home in Argentina, recently he bragged to me about their socialsed health care, he got something like $10,000 worth of dental work and only had to pay $1,200 out of pocket.
