True. H back is a hybrid TE/fullback. Aaron Hernandez, Todd Christensen, Vernon Davis, and Chris Cooley are all 6’2-3”. Big difference between that and Witten, Gronk, Gonzales, Kelce that are long enough to legitimately pass block someone in line.

Fant had a fumble against Florida that cost us a minimum of 3 points. He's due for a very untimely drop seemingly every other game. In spite of his shortcomings, Fant has managed to improve enough that his positive attributes greatly outnumber his shortcomings, and become a key contributor to this team.

3 coaching staffs (Lyle, Pruitt, Heupel) kept promising us Fant was gonna break out. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't started to doubt. I should have know 3rd times a charm.

Maybe this staff uses him in the right way. Even if it’s as a ball carrier, it’s working.

Let me ask you this.. How was Cedric Tillman before his senior year? How was Hendon Hooker before his senior year? The must suck too right? People can improve. Fant has had several vital plays on 4th down, that if he had not made, we would have lost. So why can’t I be pleasantly surprised by that? As I said in my first post?

What ? Cedric has always played even when he was a freshman. Hendon was a starter at VT..
All I’m saying is I wouldn’t be surprised if fant took remedial math

Yep juicing up that nfl resume for sure. Reminds me of William Howard running the ball. Love how we don’t let position define what players can do. Look at Patterson for Falcons…team finally decided to just let him touch the ball as many times as they can.

You have argued with every person in this thread that gave even a small attaboy to Fant. But I’m ranting? All I said was he was a pleasant surprise…you quoted me and called me out. Said what did he do the last 4 years. I showed you how ridiculously stupid that arguement was, because Tillman. You lost and now your mad. It’s okay go pout. Can’t win them all.

No you miss understood. You think I was talking about playing time.. I’m not. I’m talking being able to make a mental play and not cause errors.. I did not lose. You are hype over a guy who just showed up after being on campus for 4 years. YOU HAVE A BRAIN ISSUE IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND FANTS PAST SEASONS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE.

Nah you literally started your whole arguement with, “what has Fant done the last 4 years”. After I made you look like an idiot; you changed it to “oh I meant mental errors”. You suck at arguing…and I’m growing tired of it. It’s ok, I’m guessing your what…16-22? We were all young and dumb at one time. It’s okay.
