Our coaches hit the road today evaluating prospects....

I agree with the first half of your post, but there was evidence that W was an idiot and poorly equipped for the duties of President.

There is simply not that kind of evidence here. We've never seen what Dooley can do once he has the players. We've seen what Kiffin can do with NFL caliber ones.
We've seen what Dooley can do in a sewer league. It's not like Utah State, Idaho, and New Mexico State are LSU, Florida, and Alabama.

Hence why Matt Leinart being unable to surplant Kurt Warner doesn't mean he sucks. Trent Green actually had a few really good years.

As for the 2005 Trojans, Steve Smith has been solid. I believe Sam Baker is a starter somewhere.

I'm talking about that offense (skill players) in general. That defense was nasty though.

on the contrarty, there has been evidence that DoolTabby may not be able to handle the job.

i think he will, but there are signs he may not.

In realitly, I have been the one proving you wrong in every thread for the past 24 hours, but you simply cannot admit defeat while me and my peers laff at ya.

keep telling yourself you won. we keep laffing.

you will not be able to get out that hole before long.

You know, I've been watching this with great entertainment, and I see Sab actually winning in this thread. Also, is "laff" how the cool kids spell it now?

Yet Kiffin's whole motive is to propagate his ability to get players to the NFL. They may get there, but a lot of them don't play. I'm talking about his so-called great receivers at USC as well. Just saying. I never researched it last year, because I figured he was telling the truth. The more I look and find out about what he actually did at USC, the more I realize that the Pac-10 sucked, and it was easy for them to get the best players in California and the Pacific West because of that.

They got to the NFL. Look at how many SC guys were drafted from those offenses. It's not Kiffin's or Carroll's or Sarkisian's fault they flopped.

I'm not arguing with you over who won the argument. Your posts have degraded into ridiculousness, LV. You're showing your ass here in a big way.

Like I said earlier, come hard or don't come.

You could also look at it in the way that Kiffin made Jarrett a first round draft pick even though he was slow as hell and normally wouldn't even be considered for the first day. And that stuff keeps happening. It's not like Mike Williams hadn't already gone to the NFL and sucked. If he keeps making players excel at the college level, NFL teams are going to keep trying their luck.

No, but if your just going to get them there, what does that say about your gameplan really?? It means that it's VERY vanilla and easy to execute, and relies more on speed and catching people out of position, than it does about X's and O's. Steve Sarkisian is going to have 2 QB's starting in the NFL in 2011, Sanchez and Locker.

Thank you. LV has a warped view of reality right now. I think once we get some commits on board we'll be able to stick it between two books and straighten it out a bit.

It's like the non-jackpot slot machine though at this point. Keep pumping quarter in and winning a small amount a few times, and never hitting that big one.

that's cuz you agree with his side of the story. there is no way to find a true winner. everyone picks the side they agree with. just the way it is.

Melancon never played a down for LA tech and ended up transferring to Texas Southern.

But these aren't the LSU "leftovers" you were talking about. You're not helping your own argument a bit.

They are talented guys that couldn't hack it and transferred to La Tech. They don't show up on your sacred Rivals class rankings.

Saying La Tech never had a kid over 2 stars sign is misleading.

He couldn't recruit well enough to stay ahead of Idaho in the WAC. That really gives me confidence he'll do a great job of getting guys to beat Alabama and Florida.
#2 behind Boise State in the WAC in 2009, #3 behind Fresno and Hawaii in '08. Ummmm...yeah.

That's not what I said. I said 3 stars and you were the one that purported that they get all of the talent that LSU cannot sign. That clearly isn't the case.

Nah, eric has been losing bigtime. But Sab is actually making points that both have content and don't sound stupid.

And Norm Chow's had about 3 dozen NFL QB starters learn under him. His entire philosophy was to keep things as simple as possible.
