I was ready to bash you before I read your op. Butch is the real deal, gets the fan base excited and recruits like hell. What isn't there to like? He has done by embracing the job what Martin should have done.

Has Fiji's screen name been hacked?

wait a minute.

just wait one minute.

i have to stop and reflect here because i want to make sure i have this right.

are you trying to tell me that the thing that will restore tennessee football back to prominence, that will have the program "feared like it never has been", is a great football coach?

so, this won't get it done?

There are issues that many of you realize that has affected the sports programs. It's not the AD. It's way bigger then him, Internal things. I say that to say this. There is only one way to get our football program back and that is by having a great football coach that is competitive that see'a a bigger picture rather then the people that brought it down. Coach butch is that coach. I promise you our program will resurface to becoming a program that is feared like it never hasbeen. This man has all the factors and qualities you can ask for. Exceptionally brilliant. He will get it done. Just be patient*......

Great post. I couldn't agree more. CBJ has infused the program with an energy and swagger we haven't seen since your time on The Hill. I couldn't be happier with our staff. They work well together and have a unified vision for Tennessee football. Stability and having a coach who indeed gets it and understands what UT football is all about will have us back on that mountaintop sooner rather than later.

Not at all. I was saying "this sucks." Or variations on that theme.

But 12 1/2 years have passed since the worst of it, and I'm left with only memories of that suckage.

All teams go through a down phase. We rolled up 6-7 straight wins on you all. What stinks about being at the top is there is only one way to go and that is down. Enjoy these current memories. U all bout to be kiffined

We are well on our way, but we were so low it will take 2 more years before we can rule the EAST and even then we wont win the EAST every year this is the SEC not the BIG 10.

I'm not a Kiffin fan. I think we could have done better.

But, I'm also aware of the fact that it's Nick Saban's offense, no matter who's calling plays. So I'm not overly concerned.

And, of course, some of the irrational reactions to Bama's success with Kiffin on this forum will make for endless entertainment. Freak is going to have his hands full if we win a national title with Kiffin in the booth.

Kiffin's mouth and ego are too big to co-exist with the dwarf king.

You honestly think that Nick Saban is going to keep someone around who shows even the slightest hint of insubordination?

You've heard of Nick Saban, right? I mean, you've actually know something about him, other than the fact that he's short, right?

If people think for 1 second he has anything "major" to do with them winning a NC, and react accordingly, well, there is no helping them...who cares about him anyway? we have bUTch...

As long as he stays in line he will fit in well for the position he was hired for.
