Ok. 4 and 5 star OL aren't going wait to play. They will transfer to other big time programs in need of them and start immediately. Ever wonder why some of the best NFL QBs struggle when their OL has injuries? You brought up 4 and 5 star players after I told you why it hardly matters between the two. It's hard to have high quality depth when high quality players don't want to sit and wait. Surely you can see how quickly parity is taking over at almost all power 4 schools. Some teams like Oklahoma have suffered irreplaceable injuries this season. It can happen. Florida will play Georgia tough this weekend. We must play well in all our remaining games to reach the playoffs. If we go 4-1, we'll be in easily after the dust settles. Both Texas and Georgia have losable games left on their schedule. Texas is lucky Arch doesn't need the money, or want the extra money right now. He would already be gone if he had the same skill set with a different last name. Gone are the days of 5 star backupsBama has 15 5 stars
Vandy has 0 5 stars
I’m not sure but assuming Bama has deeper pockets ($$$$)
Explain parity please.
I think maybe you thought you and I had prior convo on the topic. I don’t believe we have. I’m just commenting, in the context of Bama/Vandy, I see no parity (aka equality).Ok. 4 and 5 star OL aren't going wait to play. But the difference between Bama and Vanderbilt isn't nearly as great now. That's parity. In the NFL, with 53 man rosters, the best owners and/or GMs stack their starters, but can't quite stack the quality in depth they need to maintain excellence. SF had WRs playing yesterday, because of injuries to front line players, that were unheard of before making the NFL. They're all great, but untested with the very best. There's a reason there are so many close, defensive games in the NFL. There's a reason the worst teams occasionally hand the best teams their asses. That's what's permeating in P4 football. Louis Riddick explained it several times during the UT-UF gameI think maybe you thought you and I had prior convo on the topic. I don’t believe we have. No. Parity is equality (not difference isn’t nearly as great). But the difference between Bama and Vanderbilt isn't nearly as great now. That's parity.
