since I've already seen it in many forms today, are people going to start using the following phrases again?

"He's our coach. Support him or GTFO."

"You're not VFL if you don't support the coach."

"Negavol"

There are many various, but I think you get the point. These phrases all served the blind lemmings so well with Dooley, so I'm glad they pulled them out again for the marginal hire we just made. I swear, if we put an orange tie on a trained monkey, some of you would think all "real fans" should support him, no questions asked. I could see the collective amnesia once people started swooning over a bunch of cliches at the opening press conference.

At some point, you have to start holding this administration accountable on the front end and not when they've blown everything up. Hiring a guy who's 14 and 9 in his crap conference and never won anything important to go head to head with Alabama and Florida is asinine.

Anyway, I just want you all to remember, when it goes bad for Jones (and it will), to go back to what was being said when Dooley was crashing the program and think twice about chastising people for not staying on the sinking ship.

I am sure you are a really smart guy and that you can foresee the future...but you might want to turn on the television and hear what people, who actually make their living commenting on sports, are saying. I have heard nothing but positive response. With the exception of few people that did not like the fact that he has no defense expertise. Which is obviously frustrating because that is really what we need. And, that is why I think that we pursued Strong over Jones first.

Support Him or not. Tenn does not need or want fans like you.

People said the same crap about Dooley. They always say the same stuff. Brando was loving Dooley 3 years ago. Those sportswriters aren't experts, they just write stories.

Exhibit A.

Exhibit A must mean being a man, than a whiny wussy. Go back to the other site with your riff raff crew and get a ecircle jerk whine going.

And Champy, lol all you want. I never asked for Dooley. All I said was the season would play out and a change either would be made or wouldn't, and it was. You skew that however you would like, and I'm sure you will.

*****ing does zero to help the program. Zero. Look where it got you guys. The same place I am, except I'm ready to move forward and see what happens, while you ***** along the way like whiny punks in the back seat of a long trip.

Every hire stands on its own merits. I will support this hire until it is time not to support it. Being a whiny cry baby cant change the circumstances.

Yeah, sometimes I feel like Hart could have gone out and hired Jerry Sandusky and most of this board would say "He's our coach, got to get behind him" and such.

That said, I like Butch Jones. I think he will win here. But, the whole crowd of people here who have to resort to insults to defend everything the UT administration does, is very tiresome.

Exhibit B.

EXACTLYwhat was said during Dooley's time here. How did that work out for you lemmings?

I was also unaware that you speak for all UT fans. Scary.

i get the point, but what can anyone do.

it's cool to say you don't like the hire. i, personnally, don't think it's all that noteworthy.

however, it's done. he's the guy. cut him some slack until he gives you a reason.

i think people's fuses are extremely short. the losing has lasted so long that people can't take it anymore and want immediate success.

unfortunately, this guy is in the same boat as kiffin and dooley. it won't turn around overnight because of roster issues.

and so, people need to remember when the 2013 recruiting class isn't all that great, that no one's first class is and when he has a lackluster first season, that it was expected.

he may have a shorter leash in terms of receiving vitriol than dooley ever imagined

I agree 100%.

If your not a "Thank you, sir! May I have another?" kinda of fan then this isn't the place for you anymore.

Blast away sheep.

It's funny how pointing out the obvious and criticism becomes whiny when you don't toe the line like a good little soldier. Good luck with your phony happiness.

This is NOT Dooley. Anyone who compares Jones to Dooley looses all credibility.

I bet they'll need him when the stadium is half full. I understand blind loyalty, but to say Tenn doesn't need people like him because he doesn't feel the same as you is asinine. Maybe just maybe he carefully thought about this hire and decided it wasn't a good one. We all know this hire was in desperation. Why do YOU think this is such a great hire. Answer that instead of bashing him for his beliefs.

I will support this hire when I am given evidence to do so. I have seen none. It's not "whiny" to point out the fact that the sanctimonious ones harping on those who were being critical of Dooley were 100% wrong and that they are starting the process all over again.
