The fact that the gaturds couldn't run the ball on Wyoming's pitiful D-line shows me they won be able to run on maybe the best D-line in the country. This will make Florida's O one dimensional, and if Urban Myth runs that option crap, Mr. Leak is going to become well acquainted with Mahelona. Which means Kill City

TN-38 Fl-10

Possible. But Wynn will be back and we've got time to gear up to stop the pass rush. I predict we come out throwing, lots of screens and short out patterns to start. Then look for us to start running in the second quarter to keep you honest. Long ball in the third and fourth quarters.

UF: 857 billion
UT: -3 (penalized three points for too many belches by Fulmer).

Florida 34 UT 14
I forsee a healthy UT ground attack and a complete dismantling of UT's secondary.

Now I won't give you that one!!! :stop:

This game is too close to call right now - both teams have some big unknows - Uf didn't have a running gam last week but they get Wynn back this week - we obviuously have to learn to catch the ball!!!

No matter what the line is - this will be a close game.

there is no way either one of these teams beats the other one by 20+points. if somebody gave me ut and uf had to beat them by 20 i'd bet the farm on it. i gotta feeling your 34-14 uf pick has got a little something to do with you just hating the vols that much and not a very good educated guess.

I think it's close and before the UAB game, I would have said UT wins, but now I give the edge to Florida...24-23. UT has the horses to do it, but they run out of gas too quick to seal it. Not only that, but UT is now looking at a 4 loss season (unless they REALLY improve over last week):

UF
LSU
UGA
ND

Wow, a doubting Vol fan. Rare.

Honestly, though, who knows? Obviously UT has tons of talent. Missing an experienced QB and that is an issue for any team at any level. Defensive front 7 are excellent and experienced. Some q-marks on the rest of the defense.

Gators, also tons of talent and most notably speed, speed, speed. But, new system and some major kinks to work out. Defense seems okay, but untested and not very deep on experience.

The game could very easily come down to turnovers, mistakes, penalties, etc. Absolutely no way to guage who is better right now with any certainty.

heres my view. we play this like we played texas a&m last year. we jump out early and finish them and surprise everyone.

You better hope the florida game doesnt come down to a coaching decision, because everybody knows who will win that one, Meyers Gators

In his first ever big time SEC game? I wouldn't bet on it.

i dont see how someone bleeding orange would take a brand new coach over phillip phulmer, the active winningest coach and maybe the sec's best.

I don't see how a Tennessee fan could spell his last name "phulmer", but it happens. :biggrin2:

(sorry, I had to)

If you're really a VOL fan, you're quite possibly the most negative I've come across. Haven't seen a positive comment out of you yet.

If you truly are a VOL fan, lighten up - and I don't mean it as criticism -just be happy its football season. You'll live longer.

For what it's worth, I am good at the swamp on playstation. Maybe that's an indication of the real life outcome :dunno:

The Vols will debut at the Florida Game.

Barely beating UAB was exactly what this team needed. I would much rather we barely beat an unranked team in the first game than destroying them. The struggle will make us stronger and more down to earth. We will roll into Gtown and open up early. We will keep the pressure on and finish strong. This will be the game that will introduce the Vols to the rest of the nation and all of the doubters as the real deal and a serious contender for the national championship. Have faith, expect the best and enjoy the "Big Orange Ride"!
