The Vols will debut at the Florida Game.

Barely beating UAB was exactly what this team needed. I would much rather we barely beat an unranked team in the first game than destroying them. The struggle will make us stronger and more down to earth. We will roll into Gtown and open up early. We will keep the pressure on and finish strong. This will be the game that will introduce the Vols to the rest of the nation and all of the doubters as the real deal and a serious contender for the national championship. Have faith, expect the best and enjoy the "Big Orange Ride"!

I forsee a healthy UT ground attack and a complete dismantling of UT's secondary.

You better hope the florida game doesnt come down to a coaching decision, because everybody knows who will win that one, Meyers Gators

Coach Chavis, please put the fear of God into little ol' Chris Leak so he doesn't know which way to turn. This ain't the Mountain West or whaaatever Urban!!

I say definitely a UT win, but it will be close. No more than 3 points.
I'm sure coaches worked on all problems from UAB game. Coach Chavis will have the defense fired up and putting pressure on Leak.
Coach Sanders will have offense ironed out and ready to score.
UT 24
uf 21

I think Urban will have no problem adapting to the speed because he gets so much more, himself. Remember, at Utah his fastest receiver ran a 4.6 in the 40. At UF, he has three wide receivers who run a 4.3 or better.

Yeah, but all that speed will give him a headache, like if i were to have caffeine after 3 years w/out it :fool:

This has been and always will be the toughest game to gage for me.

I personally think it is a toss up with us needing to get off to a quick start.

If we can be 10-7 at the end of the first quarter then it will be close to the end. I certainly don't see us running away with given the lack luster play against UAB.

I agree with the above post. This schedule is rough 2-3 while is seems far fetched is a possibility if the play does not step up.

Go Vols.

heres my view. we play this like we played texas a&m last year. we jump out early and finish them and surprise everyone.

final score
ut 38
uf 17

I normally don't do this but I have to here... We didn't play Texas A&M Last year.. They sucked. We played Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl. Florida will not be anywhere near that easy.

UT:31
UF:28

With a Late Drive by Florida being stopped to ensure the win.. THis one is always close.

For what it's worth, I am good at the swamp on playstation. Maybe that's an indication of the real life outcome :dunno:

Well, we're 2-0 in the Swamp in the 21st Century. How's that sound?

I think the a&m game was a case of getting them down ealry, then kicking them while they were down. then they sucked. we just need to to that to florida too, and finish.

You missed the point TENNESSEE DID NOT PLAY Texas A&M last year it was Texas Tech.

I agree with your analysis but the wrong team is being stated,

Tennessee vs Texas Tech in the Cotton bowl not A&M

Listen if rick would have played the whole game when we played uab it would have been more than just seven points!!!!!! I mean think about it and it should have been 10 anyway if we would make our feild goals! then you take back the two interceptions plus the 10 over throws ainge had we would have been alot better!!

WTH? LMAO! :lolabove:

It was Texas A&M. I wouldn't act like such an ass if I were you. It's really embarrasing when you're proven wrong after acting like that.

Ouch.

Try and remember there fellow Vol "fan".

I didn't know there WERE Vol fans that were that silly, that they didnt even know who our opponents were. Gees.

Tennessee "Internet" fans are certainly a different breed.

Florida wins by atleast a field goal. UF's D is flat out tough this year, and with the QB shuffle, UT's O cannot adapt. UF's O is too fast. The passing game burns UT's weak secondary, and Wynn's more than capable of putting up 100 plus yards on ANYONE. Plus the fact that its in The Swamp. The Gators reclaim The Swamp, and win by atleast a fieldgoal.

UF will keep the corners and safeties up close until we open up the field and pass over the middle. They know Fulmer wants to RUN THE BALL FIRST. If we open up the game, we win. If not the defense cannot keep Leak and company from scoring all day, we loose. Off tackle left and right and flare passes left and right won't get us first downs. :banghead:

GO VOLS!!!!! Plese open up the game......!!!!!!!
