You misspelled Gator, and your obsession with alternative sexual preferences is noted.

I misspelled gator in a pig's eye. Or should I say gator's eye?

Why don't you go light up and listen to some crappy Rolling Stones music from the 60s?

We don't care enough about your goony gators to even investigate the gator websites. Why are you so interested in the VOLS?

Are you a community organizer in FL?

You misspelled Gators several times there...Freudian slip I suppose.

I post on several SEC message boards. I care about SEC football, whether my alma mater is involved in the discussion or not.

This is easily one of the best places of the web to foster those types of discussions.

Once you have more than 60 posts here you might understand.

Given all the heartburn expressed over CBJ's hiring, just wanted to offer some unsolicited perspective.

Considering where UT's FB program is, you guys got a good hire. Gruden just wasn't going to happen after having 4 coaches in 6 years. Of the coaches available, you guys got one of the best ones that were available. CBJ has shown that he can win. Give the man a chance, get behind him, and let your fanbase heal. The SECE isn't the same with UT being on a down cycle.

GBO, but not as much as GBB.

Best of all, you guys can wear these hats this fall; :hi:

No matter where you post, I'm sure you are as unwanted there as you are here. I note that you have 4.85 posts to VolNation a day and yet you are a gator
(UT approved spelling on this site).

Need to get a life. Posting on sports boards all day is NOT a life.

And if you don't like my spelling of gator, the solution is simple, GTFO.

It's absolutely implied. It isn't explicitly stated.

Who do the troops belong to? Stoops. Any denial you have will sound ridiculous.

Can't say I agree. What if the troops are in favor of Stoops, but he refuses to acknowledge them? You can't say they belong to him, since he disregards them. They're just Troops for Stoops. Or, rather, Stoops Troops.

Why should I GTFO...because you just got here? :eek:lol:

We're both posting on message boards sparky, so I guess we should both get a life.

And you can spell Gator however you like...it speaks volumes.

The rules against pointless unfunny personal attacks apply even to enemy fans, gentlemen. Feel free to attack Lawrence all you want, but please don't just be dumb knuckledragging simpletons.

What got lost in all the personal attacks is my belief that Jones will be a much better hire than expected.

Gruden was a long shot, Strong was playing UT for an extension, and I'm not sure if Fedora was ever in play.

What UT got is a solid coach with a positive track record for building winning programs.

There are many ways to write what you're saying more clearly. Stoops Troops clearly implies possession. (though it needs the apostrophe) Basically, it's a case of horrible, horrible, writing. Or ignorance. I really don't care which it is.

Give em "heck" LW. You may be a Gator Fan Troll in some peoples eyes.......but you are OUR troll. Time will tell if CBJ works out or not, but I have high hopes right now. I'm guessing the majority of the fan base will give hime three years to get things going. The days of having four years to turn things around no longer exist in the SEC.

Pshaw. Imagine a group of Apple computer fans right now who believe strongly that the new CEO is ruining the company. So they organize into a flag girl-like drill team to protest outside Apple headquarters. Because they feel so strongly that Apple should return to the stuff that it did under Steve Jobs, they decide to call themselves the Jobs Squad. Clearly Steve Jobs cannot own or possess or associate with this squad in any way, because he's dead. They're simply named after him and his name happens to end with an S. A possessive apostrophe is not merely unnecessary, but would be wrong.

You don't have enough information to categorically pronounce the Stoops Troops incorrectly named. He may not even be aware of their existence.

Thanks for the kind words BB. :hi:

Out of respect for this board I kept silent about the Gruden rumors. At the end of the day it was a pipe dream wrapped in a snowball's chance in hell.

Butch Jones is a step in the right direction. He doesn't have a famous daddy who coached Herschel or the false confidence of Lane Kiffin, but he's a step in the right direction.

Gah. Ridiculous. Can I say J.R.R. Tokien's novel? Yes. Despite the fact that he's dead and gone and has no idea I'm talking about him. As I said before, it's clearly IMPLIED. Stoops Troops is clearly IMPLIED not STATED. I can't make this any clearer.

Again, it's IMPLIED. Really sorry that this needs to be explained. I feel embarrassed for you.

Edit: For the slow

Classy post....and I appreciate it. I for one and very excited to have Coach Jones...has won everywhere he has been! Go Vols and Go SEC!
