You sir, ended this thread with the first post. Two and a Half Men is the epitome of overrated.

Lost and it isn't even close. Not sure if there has ever been a more polarizing show.

How to make it in American was crappy too. Entourage with poor people, none of whom are likable

Do they currently have to be on the air?

Im still waiting for somebody to explain to me how According To Jim stayed on the air for 7 seasons.

My point though is it got excellent ratings, or it would have been canceled.Im just curious who or what was watching that humorless peice of garbage.

Not sure, but it's a terrible show. Hell, Two and Half Men absolutely kills Scrubs and The Office in ratings.

Not to make an excuse but Scrubs was well out of it's prime and The Office is on that path as well. I just think a large part of the population enjoys sitting down for shows and not having to think outside the box. Which makes shows like TAAHM wildly popular.Cliche jokes and boring stereotypes become king.

Scrubs ratings from season four and on weren't on par with it, and The Office has never been a ratings draw.

I agree that's why shows like TAAHM are so popular.

Almost all CBS shows get huge ratings. I think the baby boomers forget how to work the remote past 8 pm.

I have no clue how NCIS gets some of the highest ratings on tv. I also don't get all the praise for Glee, but maybe it's because I'm a straight male.

I love The Office. I do have to admit, though, this season has been my least favorite so far.

Another show that I really like is Community.

It pretty much has no defined direction right now, aside from getting the characters through college. Which I think could be a good thing or possibly a bad thing if they take too long to develop things.

I really like it because I can relate to it being in college in general, specifically community college...

I have a hard time believing that the Office is not a big ratings draw, reruns are being aired on numerous stations.

It's never cracked the top 50, and was almost canceled after the first season. I love it, and it has a very devoted following, but not a big draw.
