Ft. Campbell sent a detachment down to do my dad's funeral in 2001. Had a bagpiper, taps trumpeter and rifle crew to do the firearm salute. He was a retired Lt. Colonel pilot attached to an artillery division. Artillery spotter in WWII and later a helicopter pilot.

I was stationed in Fort Worth when I was in the AF. Loved it out there. That's where me and my wife spent our first Christmas. We paid $2 for our first tree and it didn't have a stand. We tethered it to the curtain rod over the sliding glass door with a piece of yarn. Best Christmas ever.

Wow! I can't imagine a tree like that, but it must have been enjoyable! What a great memory.
