We had a guy that looked uncomfortable, but he visited several Sundays. People were friendly to him and he eventually relaxed a little. Then one Sunday he tried to go in the children's section. He was stopped cause you have to sign in and out of there. He never came back.We had a young couple come today, they'd visited before, but it's been a while. He just stood for a while in the back of the church. It was odd, you could tell something wasn't right. You never know nowadays when someone is acting funny. Hate to think that in church, but it is what it is. Anyway, during the singing he walked to the front and was talking to the pastor. Our pastor then asked some men to come pray with him. I got to him first and asked what I could help him pray about, and this big guy just broke. He told me he may have a bad tumor and that he was scared. We prayed with him, and just loved on him like he was family. It really helped him, and he was so grateful that we showed him so much love. It sincerely changed how he was feeling. There are days as Christians and as a church we mess up, but there are moments when we really make an impact on someone. Those latter moments are worth it all to me.
Fast forward a month. We get a letter from a local church that they had a registered pedophile that had tried to get access, and included his photo along with info from police on what to do if we saw him.
So yeah, you hate to be suspicious but you have to be suspicious.
