The Clairton-Pitt connection. Not just the proximity but that particular school has a strong relationship with the program.

Like I said, a coaching change or some unexpected struggles from Pitt can only help, but considering all the factors I think they lead as of right now.

Let him come back for the Bama game when we shock the world :)thumbsup:) and maybe we change that.

I really hope we do.

Listen, I WANT him to pick us. But when I step back and take my Vol glasses off, I think Pitt edges us right now.

Would you drive down on a Thur to watch a team when you have to play back in Pa on Fri, just because its a great game day atmosphere? Pitt may lead, you may be correct, but if i'm a teenager, I could find more entertainment close by, without driving all the way to Knoxville.. jmo

It was Tennessee's biggest home game in god knows how long. Safe to say it's well worth the trip if he has any interest in being a Vol.

It's not "just a great game day atmosphere".

It's Tennessee vs Florida, in a checkered Neyland. Yes I'd drive all day to see it.

He was referencing the app st game. They also drove back all night with him having a game the next day.

Kids take visits. They just do. Even after they're committed, they often take visits.

I think he likes Tennessee. You guys that think he wouldn't come down here unless under conditions of maximum convenience... hey, maybe he's already a Vol. I hope he is.

I think we've got work to do with him. So do the latest CBs, FWIW.

I have no idea exactly where we stand with this one but I think the point everyone is trying to make is that coming down for that Thursday game was about the most inconvenient visit anyone could make and if we weren't very legitimately in this he wouldn't have gone to such efforts.

I think we get him in the end. His parents have stated that distance is not a factor. Pitt & PSU are both struggling, possibly some coaching turnover at those schools. I think his relationship with Shoop is the key factor in his recruitment. Also the excitement of the program/season. He would also get to play in SEC, every game will be on tv, so if the family cant make it to each game they can still watch it.

Hard for me to imagine that this guy won't be a Vol. He was going crazy when Wolf caught that TD pass. He was fired up
