So you're off the Butch train but then don't question his talent evaluation? Least you forget this is a staff that in 2 and 3 yrs still thinks Mosley and Martin will turn their head around and not get beat. Mosley was repeatedly abused by a true FR QB and WR last weekend.

One of my first post on here way back in 2009.I stated the same thing.Most of the guys are journalists.Most hAve never played a down of football past high school.They rank kids based on who attends the camps and looks good in shorts and tees.They see alot of kids in these camps but haven't a clue if a kid is a 2 star 3 star 4 star or even some of the 5 stars.Makes me sick they get paid to do it also.What a job Iam so jealous. :)

Kinda funny how these posters will take Fortenberry's words like they are the gospel when this thread had posts in it telling them what was what MONTHS ago.

I wouldn't mind actually doing evaluations but they'd never hire me or pay me well. Lol

Nah. He obviously isnt good because Saban isnt recruiting him. Even though he has an Alabama offer and OSU seem to be going after him. But we really dont need an overrated 5* CB. Much better to rely on another 3* being the nect Sutton. Thats much, much more likely.

OSU isn't going hard after him. He likely would already be committed there if they had. It's pretty well known they had guys ahead of him. Why is this so difficult to accept?

Its not hard to accept because its pure conjecture. Neither you nor anyone else has access to Meyers recruiting board. But keep thinking you and your boy BB know it all. Like I said, we should juet keep piling on the 3* and hope and pray they become 4 and 5*. That certainly makes sense. Sheesh.

What's an overrated 5* player to you? I say go get the legit guys and stop with the shenanigans. Are you comfortable with matching him up with the WRs Bama is bringing in?

Now I know it all due to you hearing it from good ole Paul right? Oh okay this is hilarious.... When you stop looking at stars and start seeing 5 star football players then you'll stop wanting any and every player they throw up as a 5 star. The Wade kid going to OSU is a ballplayer.

We dont know how good he will be in college. He could turn out to be a lockdown CB that schools the Bama WRs. I dont know and neither do you. Who is good ole Paul? I dont listen to any radio personalities. Wade is a 5* and rated as one of the top DBs in the country. I hope we get him. He may or may not live up to his ranking. But its been proven time and time again, a 5* is more likely to be a star than getting a 3* and hope he develops into a 5*.

Yeah short CBs who can't run fast usually don't do well on the outside.

Matter of fact why is a nickel back rated as a 5* is my question to you? I can't wrap my head around this. People say we can't matchup with Bama well this is why. Our 4-5 star guys are not the same caliber at times. This is an example for sure......

I know more than one kid in Alabama that's better than Wade. Wish we could've gotten Jamyest who's going to SCAR. He's better at the same height. These rankings have you all BLIND.

I trust your player evaluations as much as anyone on this board (except for DH4 :)), but perhaps Lamont Wade is the best corner we have a shot at right now.
