Recruiting service or are they coaches?

Ask them football questions about their evaluations and see how they respond.

If you don't attend their camps they don't rate you high.

Ex: Wade went to every camp they had. Got undressed in man coverage but balled in team concept. Is short with 4.55 speed. That translate to a 4 star at the max. His upside isn't huge seeing he's already good sized for a 5'9 kid. So where is this high ranking from?

Tyler Byrd: 4 star coming out but should have been a 5 star for sure.
-Dominated elite competition at the US ARMY ALL-AMERICAN game.
-5'11-6'0 tall at CB(great height for the position).
-Extremely fast(4.3)
-Elite ball skills
-He was an athlete but everyone had him at CB.
-potential through the roof with his enormous athleticism

Now tell me how do you rank one a 5 star and the other a 4 star?

I'll wait because the recruiting services always dance around questions on Twitter when you ask them directly. Give you some BS generalized answer like they need more film or they haven't seen him live. Smh

Obviously they see something you dont in Wade. And would you say there ruiting services get it wrong much more than they get it right?

I asked YOU how was Byrd not a 5 star? He dominated a game played versus other elite talent. But they wouldn't give him a 5th star because he refused to camp with them. You trust their evaluations though right? Because they get mad with kids who won't do interviews or camp with them. They also will bump a kid if his parents pay them. Ever seen a 5'8 WR that runs a 4.55 but is a 4 star with mid major offers at best? Yeah those kids....... Recruiting service guys are jokes to me and most that know football.

This is probably true but what else are we supposed to do buddy? We have to have something to go by. We can't just use regular Joes to give these guys their rankings/ratings.

So, we have to have something to depend on for ranking all these recruits & it can't be the general public.

Maybe coaches should factor in & allow them to rank them too. That might be the fairest way to get it done because I do agree a lot of recruits aren't fairly rated.

Hilarious certain posters want to say that I think I know more than the recruiting sites guys when evaluating talent. Of course I do when I've specifically asked them things in the past and they can even answer them. But a coach would be able to answer them within 5 seconds. But keep believing in them guys. They are the ones who think Garrett is better than Barnett even right now. 😂😂😂😂😂

It is what it is. It's all we got BB. I don't claim to know more than anybody in the recruiting area on these boards. They're all we got. Maybe we need to push for a change to allowing the coaches to determine a recruit's ranking but they already have enough on them as it is with their head coaching duties. However, most would probably like doing it because it would help them tremendously in evaluating talent.

When have I ever spewed something about a recruit that I don't know? It could just be my opinion on him & not something that I claim to know. Could be the same way for others as well.

I don't know of many & I can't think of a person on here that tries to act like they know more about a recruit than they really do. Do you know any members like that buddy? There's a difference between opinion & saying something that's not true.

Agree with everything you said about Byrd except his height. I'm 6' 1" and stood next to him when he was in his uni at fall practice. 5' 10" max IMO. However, his total package/athleticism is far greater than Wade. I am still amazed he is not playing CB. The coaching staff blew it IMO.

I was going by the listed height. But they watched him dominate 5 stars in pads and still said he didn't camp enough for them. When did football matter the most outside of the pads and helmets?

Is there anyway you can prove you're relevent or have some sort of connections? You do a lot of talking and chest pounding with nothing to show?

What do you coach high schoolers? Lol I know a lot of coaches who shouldn't be coaches, like CBJ, for instance. But I'm assuming you'd wouldn't be D1 considering how often you're on VN.

Oh also, is there any way you can prove that you get bumps in rating from camps and dropped if you don't? Doubt you'll have anything relevant to my post but it's worth a try.

You don't answer a question by asking a question. You're the one claiming to be relevant and 'INFORMED', NOT ME.

All I'm doing is asking if you have sources or facts, which you don't, and never will, which is quite telling.
