He plays against a neighboring school in the Western Finals this weekend. May make the drive to check him out. Shouldn't be too far since his school is just over an hour from me.

Game is at Slippery Rock University. Half hour from my house and 15 minutes from work. I'll definitely be there barring a freak blizzard...and I'll be orange clad.

Ran for 243 in state semifinal last night. Very smooth, patient player. Doesn't get too amped. Seems to keep his head and doesn't panic when things aren't going his way. His team had 14 bad snaps. New balls for state playoff and it was 25 degrees and rainy.

Defensively, didn't see much. They had him play center field and really never in man. Supports deep passes well and broke a few up. Biggest negative i saw is he is VERY blockable. Could have been cold or disinterested since they were expected to win big, but when he was being blocked on big runs he couldn't fight through.

Finally...he clearly hates the cold. Fully decked out in gear with hand warmer. Last one out of the locker room after halftime. Like seconds before kickoff. Police had to reopen gate for him. And no injury. Im guessing but i think he hated the weather. Possibly a reason to consider us over PSU. But a small reason.

What's going on with this guy? I feel like we don't talk about him NEARLY enough for a 5* who has us in his top 5 and loved his visits.

We were strong because at the time Pitt and PSu sucked eggs. Both turned it on and it gave him a reason to stay in PA, simple as that

Never count out Shoop. Wade tweeted earlier in the year about playing for him. If Shoop gets to hire his own DB coach, I believe Wade is firmly in play for us. Just my 2 cents.

If Butch is smart, he will let Shoop bring in his own guys. Time for Butch to check his ego at the door and realize his way of doing things isn't working.
