I seriously doubt coaches are setting the dollar values. Naive to think they are.

That doesn't mean they're going to get every recruit "they really want". It also doesn't mean we won't get outbid. Believe it or not, there are still schools out there with more money to throw around than Tennessee. I'm extremely happy with what Heupel is building, and the role Spyre is playing in that, but it's foolish to get cocky and assume we'll get "everyone we really want".

I'm under the impression that NCAA rules prohibit that. So I'm not going to speculate how much say the coaches have. In no way do I believe they're deciding the dollar amounts.
