Packers v. Giants Thread

The Jim Rome mix is quality though.

the worst Super Bowl would of been any combination of the Chargers. Everybody is gonna be watching for the chance to see history.

And I hope the writers stay on strike, because they are the ones who have been putting together those gay halftime shows

Friday Jim Rome said this would be the worst superbowl the NFL could have. I cant wait to see what he says tommorrow.

Based on what? Its not like MLB or NBA, it doesn't matter who plays, tons of people are going to tune in worldwide, no matter if its Eli Manning or Jim Drunkenmiller at QB. And I don't see how he could argue the Packers would give the Pats a better game.

I've gotta look for that on Youtube I guess. Some of those passes Farve threw looked terrible, like he had no grip.

You gotta point, you would think some people would watch to see if the pats are gonna lose. I dont know. I do think those teams dont have national fanbases so that is going to hurt ratings. If the Pack had got in that would have helped.

I'll watch the Super Bowl no matter who it is, it's the Super Bowl for crying out loud. You gotta watch the commercials.

In all seriousness, never thought I'd say this but I hope NY wins.

No doubt. ESPN polled who does America want to see play the Pats.

Every state picked Green Bay...even NY

I dont know what it was based on. I dont think he was talking about matchup at all, simply ratings.

I don't think a Super Bowl with a New York market team vs a Boston market team is going to suffer ratings wise.

I was trying to look this up but could not find it, but I think he said the Colts v Bears had the highest rating since the last Cowboy superbowl.

Well I think this Super Bowl should be the highest rated for the simple fact the Pats are going for perfection. San Diego, Green Bay, and the Indianapolis markets might not give a rat's ass, but the rest of the country will
