Tbh I honest im not sure that tg is worth the baggage that comes with him he needs some humble pie imo

I'm just curious if some of ya'll are going to be as negative when Torrance Gibson is scoring touchdowns. Maybe then some of you can get a piece of that humble pie. TBH, IMHO, etc, etc.

Maybe it's just me, but if painting the rock is such a big deal for recruits, maybe someone needs to haul in a few more rocks.

How about painting a picture with him after just winning a ncg with Orange and white confetti falling, or holding his helmet in one and and a NC ring on the other

I don't know if that Rock will fit through a printer. :blink: That's a ton of work just to produce in Photoshop, much less hand paint on a rock.

Any other details you want to add?

How is that ignorant what I'm saying is one player does not make a team you put good players around the qb and the offense will move no doubt the kid is talented but qb is more in the head than physical ability

That said your comment was ignorant, because you claim you know more than the coaches. Your statement that Gibson isn't worth the baggage makes me question why you would say that. Lets see his talent is 5* worthy, and the only baggage I could think of is the rumored 'fight'. I think almost every coach in the nation disagrees with you.

Only other issue you could have (given your humble pie comment) is you find the kid too cocky for your taste. Well I am sorry I want a cocky as hell kid that backs it up (yet to be seen, but it is always a gamble). I want to win with attitude and dominance in the future. I want Bama, UF, USC, UGA, and Auburn fans (heck the whole nation) to hate us and whine, because we are too cocky. I want them to dream of making us eat humble pie. I want them to fear us again.

By that logic, Josh Dobbs should be one of the greatest quarterbacks in the SEC. He's extremely smart.



When I opened this thread I said to myself, "I wonder how many posts we'll make it through before the 'thug' and 'ego' comments start rolling in."

Athletes are born and bred to be competitive. The vast majority of athletes are Type A personalities. I don't have a problem with someone talking the talk as long as they walk the walk. He knows he's good and he can prove it (at least that's why he's here this weekend).

If I was a quarterback with top-tier elite football programs around the country knocking on my door and throwing themselves at my feet I would probably feel pretty good about myself too. Nothing wrong with it.

This is a very exciting time for this young man. Let him enjoy the process without all the ball-busting. He only gets to do it once. It's been frustrating enough for him already (RE: codyg).

So after reading all this, I've yet to see anything that says we are actually gonna do this. I'd be willing to meet with some of you guys maybe Friday night (tomorrow night) to at least paint something...Something simple and genuine from VolNation to TG. Let the school paint something fancy if they want, but let's give TG something genuine from VN. Even if it's only the hashtag #TG2UT or something. What say you guys? I'd be willing to even get the orange spray paint if someone else gets white for the background? Friday night at say 8 pm? May want to add Jauan Jennings on the rock as well since he will be at the camp. We KNOW that he wants to be a Vol. Show the kid some much desrved love.
