Yes. Benefits ARE withheld from a live in girlfriend. I am not aware of anyone trying to get benefits for someone on the basis that they've had premarital sex with them. Where did I miss this?

Do I think someone should have the right to withhold benefits from people who openly engage in behavior that morally offends them? Yes. That does not mean I believe they should do so in any particular much less every case.

I think homosexuals "deserve" whatever benefits they can privately negotiate with an employer. I do not think any employer should be compelled to give them benefits if it contradicts their conscience.

I don't presume that my own morality and personal belief system supersedes the rights of others.

That's odd... that is EXACTLY what your mocking posts and "confident" posts imply.

FTR, I have never said that my own morality or personal belief system supercedes the rights of others either.

Marriage is not a right. Employment is not a right. Employer benefits are not rights.

You don't understand. I'ts only not a right if you're GAY.

No. Marriage is NOT a right. It is a privileged license with qualifications established by the issuing authority. That really isn't very hard to understand.

As such, a state could deny it to heterosexuals... assuming the voting public allowed it.

based on the results of a blood test, marriage used to be denied to heterosexuals

Funny, I thought marriage was a consecration of love.

I dream.
