Women have to be thinking right now that Palin is a WH possibility some time in the future, regardless of this Nov's outcome.

Again though, you have to take into consideration the dynamic of this election. The number is certainly high, but not entirely surprising.

This may be significant as well.

Nielsen also noted that 19.5 million women watched Wednesday night, 4.9 million more than a week ago for the Democratic convention.

i'd vote for her. she sounds like she doesn't take crap off anyone, and i like it. seems to be a straight shooter. she'd have my vote regardless if she was hot or not, which she is.

I'm really commenting about the context - clearly the press onslaught raised viewership.

I just wonder what those touting Obama's ratings as an indicator of his support will say about this number?

You are really scared she is going to put Obama back in the senate.......

You sure are justifying and rationalizing a lot........

Not in the least, but everyone seems to be excited about her. I am explaining what I think it is. I assure you I am every bit as confident now as I have been since the beginning.

Doubtful...... but I will take your word for it.

I dunno, the media hyped the hell out of both events so I am not sure how you can measure the support of either.

Are you going to argue that McCain choosing a woman as a running mate after a woman nearly won the Democratic primary didn't contribute greatly to those ratings?

All I am saying is that it did

Not at all, I don't understand why it urks you so much.

I am simply saying if she were a democrat she would be the greatest politician to have ever walked the earth.

I just want people to be fair and honest.....

Thats all...

Exactly, if the situation is reversed you praise her!

This drives me nuts!

Either party if trash and you and I know it......

She almost seems like a normal person.........

That is refreshing....

If it did, that's a problem for the dems in this election.

If you truly believe what you're saying here, then you don't like that reason for the huge turnout. At the very least, it means many of those viewers are in play and were behind Hillary for one reason.

Women probably had an interest in what she was saying because she is a woman, yes. There are certainly Hillary supporters that only supported her because she is a woman. There are plenty of people that watched last night that were in play, however she probably put every bit as many of them in Obama's column as she did McCain's. Whether or not that is a good thing, well I'll tell you in two weeks.

Hell, I was interested in what she was going to say because she is an unknown and is a woman.

I would give a lot money to know exactly what you were thinking while she was talking.
