Al Jazeera reporting that around 100 hostages are feared dead in the concert hall incident. As I understand, this figure does not include the 45-60 dead in the other attacks previously reported.

Growing up, my father regularly employed a Muslim pilot whom I got to know very well as a top-class professional and person. Please learn that not everyone who recognizes the specific problems of Islam is doing so out of xenophobia.

Agreed. I've been waiting on it to happen here since 9/11. Open air events (football Saturdays and Sundays) are ready targets. Horrendous to contemplate.

I've probably met far more and gotten to know far more Muslims than you could shake a stick at. And not only from the safety of the United States where you probably met the ones you know. But in the belly of the beast.

Until you've made seven trips over to that part of the world and seen the culture firsthand, don't talk to me about "get to know your local Muslim."
