Allow me to use YOUR standard arguement.

Typical liberal over-reaction. No story here. Nothing to see, move along.

You don't think that a member of an organized church, a member of the clergy, a Man of God, actively praying for someone to die and go to hell, followed the next day by one of his congregation, armed with an automatic rifle, showing up at a speech by the man, is noteworthy?

Or do you just not like what it reflects about the insanity that is brewing out there in the extreme elements of the right?

There's a guy you should listen LG - Mike Malloy. He's a lefty radio guy. I listened to him the other day and he repeatedly expressed his wish that all right wingers would meet the rapture and burn in hell. He repeated it over and over. He referred to Rupert Murdoch as one of the most evil persons in the world.

Is he out of line here? Should we be worried about his rhetoric?

There are isolated nut cases on both sides, and in the middle. The men may not have been 'politically correct', but they broke no laws.

Should we be worried about Bill Ayers? He actually took action on his nut job ideals.

Yes.

Now, its a little less dire since he's spewing his venom towards a large group of people as opposed to one prominent person. The odds that his rhetoric will result in some actual act of violence is much lower than the potential for violence caused by this pastor or other similarly calling for, or hinting at, an early demise for Obama.

But in principle what he says is every bit as deserving of condemnation as what this pastor said.

Why? Everyone knows a Republican. Easy access, easy violence. You really think someone is more likely to attack the most well-guarded man in the nation over the conservative just down the block? And I guess the KKK is pretty much harmless since they advocate the destruction of an entire race rather than just one black guy.

I wish churches that engage in this political BS would lose their tax except status.

Yes it's news worthy. Just as news worthy as Obama's pastor spewing his words of hate. Amazing how many threads you've started regarding these wackos and none while the wackos were on the other side of the aisle.

Wow, a nutbag preacher. There's a good chance someone in his congregation could end up as POTUS. LOL. The chickens have come home to roost-ah!

Arizona pastor prays for Obama to die and go to Hell. The next day, one of his congregation members goes to an Obama speech and carries an assault rifle with him.

Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

Remind me why it is damning when a conservative does this and praise worthy when it is someone from you beloved political party?

You honestly believe black liberation theology is positive?

Again, what about the bigot hate mongers, like yourself, who attack conservatives?

Never going to happen. Religion and politics are so interwoven in this country that any meaningful steps to separate the two will end in defeat.

. . . and no politician in his right mind wants to be associated with an effort to impact the tax status of a church.
