Pastor prays for Obama to die of brain cancer, like Kennedy

You don't think that a member of an organized church, a member of the clergy, a Man of God, actively praying for someone to die and go to hell, followed the next day by one of his congregation, armed with an automatic rifle, showing up at a speech by the man, is noteworthy?

Or do you just not like what it reflects about the insanity that is brewing out there in the extreme elements of the right?

Just curious to where your concern was when people wanted Bush to die??? I don't remember you speaking up then. Maybe you did, and if so then no biggie. If you didn't, then i find it funny that you make a thread about this.

there is no excuse for this guy to do this. I promise you God will judge this "pastor." for him say this is just sad. it goes against the very command God gives church leaders and pastors. The Bible commands pastors to win souls for christ by praying, witnessing and living a Godly life. This guy has allowed satan to harden his heart which has caused him a great deal of anger and bitterness. it's really sad.

Well I'll be gosh darned. When I get something I don't deserve I sure will be proud to be an American for the first time. Maybe then I'll get to visit all 57 states and have set up town hall meetings with teleprompters and hand chosen crowds to tell them that we will embrace Islam.

Not trying to start an argument, just wondering how you could possibly know this for sure.

Well the Bible does say that not all that say Lord,Lord shall enter the kingdom of Heaven. To lump everyone that calls themselves Christian into the same group is just plain crazy. I don't know what this mans personal relationship with Christ is like, I can't "judge" him there.
What his says was his opinion. I can choose to agree or disagree. I do not have to pick a side. It seems a few years ago I heard alot of talk about Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and a few others that called for the same type thing to happen to them. Where was your outrage then?

Anyone can say they are a Christian. I see "hollywood stars" wearing crosses on their necks, a sign of Christianity. Are they Christians just because they wear a cross? There are just as many "lost" people that have attended church all their lives and have never become a Christian. Saying you are something on the outside doesn't mean you are one on the inside!

If something like that were true, then I could sit in my garage every Sunday and Wednesday for the next 30 years and I would become a Cadillac!

This is skirting the question.

He can say "I believe God will judge this man"...but I want to know how he can say "I promise God will judge this man".

There is a significant difference.

this kind of stuff is what the media uses to try and cast a negative shadow on the conservative side, plain and simple. Its funny, the more and more this is done, the more and more sheep are waking up out of their coma and are starting to see whats going on...

If I'm gsvol, I pitch a freaking b1tch.

lol...

I'm not sure gsvol has an equal. I'm convinced he is one of the mods that bombs the board with random data and conspiracy theory stuff so we focus on him and don't flame each other too bad when things get out of hand. Kind of a "crowd control" measure.

he is going to judge us all. the Bible says it. this man is supposed to leader in the church, he has great responsibility to be a good example for Christianity. he should know good and well that God and Christ would not want a Christian, (especially a pastor) to wish ill on anyone.

you'll never hear the new reporting on a black seperatist pastor talking bad about America or wishing Bush death. but if a "conservative pastor" says something like this, it will be everwhere.

I thought Rev. Wright was a pretty big deal, and it was covered by every major news outlet.

Your comment demonstrates the typical victimology and whining that has permeated the republican party as of late.

Again, speaking in terms of certainty on matters of faith. This is one of the reasons it is so hard to take anything any spokesperson of religion says seriously.

It's like me saying "There isn't a God" as opposed to saying "I don't believe there is a God".
