A statue isn't enough, in my opinion. We need to rename TBA. I'm sure Thompson or Boling wouldn't mind.

Pat deserves the statue in front of TBA and it would be a fitting tribute to her legacy at Tennessee. Sad to see her step down but glad she did it in a timely fashion

Without question, she should get one. I can't believe we haven't already put one up for her. Do we have a coach that won more national chamionships than Coach Summitt?

I'd support it. It would be hella scary at night walking across campus and all the sudden see this 10 feet tall.

They should put it one in the Fort too. That would cut down on all the crime.

Agree 100% Michael Jordan had his statue at the United Center when he was still playing with the Bulls. Pat Summitt is in the class that she deserves a statue before retirement or death. She is that important to the University of Tennessee and womens basketball. Here is your statue. I think that would look good in bronze.

That would be a PERFECT pose for a statue. :good!:

I am a Football guy,and I understand what the General did for us and the University. With that said, I feel STRONGLY the Pat has done more for this University then anyone period. I support the Statue that will be. Sooner rather then later. I would also like to see the University rename TBA. It would also be cool to see a Fan Appreciation Day sometime next year for her at Mid Court. Also a SEC game next year the tickets and concession sales should be donated to Research. Make it Happen UT

PS Thank You Pat Head Summit you have been an inspiration to a lot of people and the Greatest Ever to coach IMO

If Cam Newton gets a statute at Auburn - Pat Summitt damn sure better get one at UT and this needs to be done sooner rather than later.

Who would be in favor of at some point seeing a statue erected of her in front of TBA? In my opinion, we took too long to get that done for Gen. Neyland. Let's not wait on it and have it done for Pat sometime in the near future.

Great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone ever represented UT with more, or even equal, class and dignity? She won on the court, she won off the court. She is one helluva classy lady. She deserves to be honored and recognized. It's a very sad day to see her step down. Figured it would happen, but I was hoping for one more year. A last hoorah, if you will. But she wouldn't be Pat if she didn't do things on her own terms. God I'll miss seeing her out there.

Most look down on ladies' sports, but I really hope Hart sees just how loved Pat is and makes this happen. And I truly hope Pat knows the impact she has had in this world. She's inspired her players, generations of young girls, and the entire VolNation, not to mention a good portion of the rest of the nation. She is everything that is right about college athletics. IMHO, the greatest of all time. God bless Coach!

Meh, I personally would not support one. Not because I am against Pat, but because I have never seen a statue that looked good. They always seem to have the person in an odd position, or their face looks nothing like the person.

HOWEVER I would support one no matter how it looked if it was to replace that stupid tornado sculpture on pedestrian walkaway.

what! You a teenager?

she should have been made the AD ten years ago! The vols would now be the most respected university in the NCAA .
