After hearing for weeks how he was in the neighborhood of a top 10 pick, Don Banks of SI now has him going at #31--barely in the first round. I hope he does well in the NFL, no matter where he gets picked and by whom.

At the end of this 4 month hype session, much of it spun by player agents, the teams must now decide who can help them now and who isn't ready. Patterson is a great athlete that isn't ready. A first round selection for him will surprise me. Most teams don't want to gamble or reach for a project on their first pick.

Why ??? He is "electric" with the ball in his hands.... NFL Organizations don't care about Wunderlik scores, and they can just coach up route running issues.... Plus he played a full season of SEC Football !!! C'mon guy is a first round LOCK !

He will be, but there are multiple reports floating out there that he has had some horrible interviews with teams. There is a lot of talk that this guy may be a few cents short of a dollar.

Agreed of all the receivers in this draft, CP has the size, speed, & explosiveness to be a 1st round pick. He can play multiple positions on offense, punt return, kick return as well. Mid to late 1st round depending the team needs no doubt. Dude's a beast and will be in the NFL for many years so those are the things teams look for when investing in a 1st round pick!

:eek:k:

No way according to peeps on volnation he only sucked in classes because he knew he was only going to be here a year.. dude is not smart n that might catch up with him on draft day..

Face it most football players r not that school smart but they at least have to be able to comprehend a play book.. can cpl???? We will know soon.

I would like to see him go to a good team. He was awesome on a bad one. Let him go late first and be a factor in the playoffs. Then we can all comment on multiple threads about how we all knew this would happen.

Bet you an avi he will be top 12.

I'll take that bet. No way he's a top 12 pick. It's not that I think he can't make it because he will. People seem to forget that each team has more wide receivers then any other position available for the draft each year. You have to be the complete packag " ala Johnson, green, Fitzgerald to be worthy of a top ten pick.
