I think Von puts up better numbers from a WR standpoint.

As for everything else CP did with Von for me its a wait and see.

He should be great though.

CP had a 3 year starter future NFL QB throwing his way whereas VP doesn't even know who his QB is yet and that QB will be throwing behind a completely new OL. Also, the new coaching staff rotates receivers much more frequestly than CP was rotated. VP will be on the field maybe 60% as much as CP was and may get 40% as many balls thrown his way.

But if you're the best route runner on the team, many more passes will come you're way. It's like a security blanket for the QB. The easiest pass is going to be to the guy who's where he was told to be in practice.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I don't follow the logic of how you arrived at yours.

Do you think VP will have as much YAC as CP or simply more catches?

VP is a lot better receiver than CP. CP is a freak athlete though. If CP ever develops the "skills" of a wide receiver, he would be pro bowl every year.

VP can catch, run good routes, and can jump. Very Julio Jones like. Deceptively fast but not a burner.

honestly I think he has an opportunity at better YAC because if you run routes better, you're more likely to meet passes on time in the right place, allowing you to continue moving, instead of having to make a spectacular grab and hitting the ground because you ran the route 2 yards deeper and had to catch it at your shoes

VP hasn't even played in his 1st sec game so how about we wait until a game or two before we compare him to CP.

We had great TEAMS back when. Put Patterson on those teams in the 80's, 90's or early 2000's and he would still outshine the rest. The only difference is he wouldn't have to do it all himself like the one year he was here.

Totally irrational argument. You do not know he would still have dominated. Is CP the best athlete UT has ever had? Most likely. However you're trying to say he was better than guys like Walker, Jackson, Sanders, Harvin etc.

That's what I was talking about lol. He's the best athlete that UT has had. I wasn't talking about everyone else.
