Paul Pelosi attacked in home invasion

... and Democrats can say the same thing about Republicans in this particular matter.

Republicans were just as anxious to label DePape a progressive, so they could focus the public narrative to "the chickens have come home to roost," and the crime rate in California - and to the Democrats being soft on crime.

Greg Gutfeld has been an active participant in this, and he is showing his hypocrisy. Gutfeld is only upset now, because DePape has already confessed that he did target Nancy Pelosi, because of her leadership standing in the Democratic Party. Once again, that is made clear under 15a of the affidavit.

Sure. My stance is the politicians on both sides of the aisle and the media spew hate. They tell you who to hate and why you should hate them. Is anybody truly surprised that mentally ill people take this as a call to act?
You're right "the chickens have come home to roost,". I have zero sympathy for politicians and the media. They have and will continue to reap what they sow.

They win by keeping everyone at each other's throat. Social media has spawned a generation of internet tough guys. People come on here hurling insults they would never say to someone in person. It is a sickness and product of the hate campaign .

End rant.

I guess this makes the gay lover narrative from the far right acceptable in your eyes?
I could care less about that. Media and politicians are not trustworthy . This is why that got legs.

Liberals bought everyone of those stories because they wanted them to be true. Fed the hate.

An 82 year old man got attacked because his wife is the Speaker of The House and her years of hateful rhetoric.

I'm with you on that.

It just needs to be acknowledged how conservatives, including several posters to this forum, were aggressively promoting the gay lover theory, and how they were desperately hoping that it was true.

It was pathetic.

There is an odd preoccupation from the right, with sexual deviancy. Such allegations are always on the fly. There is hardly a day which ever goes by, without Donald Trump Jr accusing some liberal of being a pedophile.

Wrong. By his own statements to the police, DePape broke into the Pelosi home to kidnap her and break her knee caps .... because he hates Democrats. That was not spin. That was a full confession to law enforcement officials.

As badly as you want this freak to be a Democrat ... His own recorded confessions say otherwise. That is what matters ... not your own personal feelings.
It is possible to hate Democrats and not be a Republican. It is also possible to buy into crazy right-based conspiracies AND champion crazy leftist concepts. Crazy likes crazy.

Those characteristics describe to attacker most accurately. Yall are just trying to push him to the other side for reasons.

C'mon now. There aren't threads on here that bash conservatives and liberal posters run with a narrative they want to be true?

If the gay stuff was true who cares? It is the distrust of media and politicians that fuels this crap and distracts Americans from the real problems the media and politicians cause.

You added this in an edit.

DePape didn't mention her being Speaker, he said she was his target because he viewed her as being the leader of the pack of lies by the Democratic Party.

If Republicans are going to insist that the hateful rhetoric of Donald Trump was not to blame for the January 6th riot at the Capitol, then you could try being a little more consistent here. You seem to be suggesting that Nancy Pelosi is responsible for what happened to her husband.

Absolutely. Nancy has fed the hate more than most. She is not a uniter . Listen to her.

. She was booed weeks ago at a friendly event, so it’s highly possible her own party despises her now. As well as the Pelosis are responsible for their own mess (in life and politics). But keep up the Republican rhetoric battlecry with your own hypocrisy.

Okay ... that's fine.

... but don't get your panties in a twist when I blame Donald Trump's election lies, and subsequent hateful rhetoric, for the January 6th riot at the United States Capitol. I believe that Donald Trump has also fed the hate more than most. He is not a uniter. Listen to him.

I just ask for some consistency here.

I think they have wanted her gone for years. She holds the key to the coffers.

That is ignorant. Democrats wouldn't keep electing her to party leader in the House if that was true. She never gets anything more than a token challenge. You are just saying stupid things now.

Everyone that is a conservative is not a Trump fan. I do not want him to run again.

The media and democrats want him to and are trying their best to poke the bear.

They both need a villain and he is the best thing that ever happened to them.

The media for clicks and revenue. The democrats fundraising.

Your best approach is to blame people for their actions. Rioters for rioting. Attackers for attacking. Shooters for shooting. Unless the public figure organized, planned, and instructed the event.
That doesn't further a political party so it isn't en vogue.

I was obviously paraphrasing his expression of anger towards Democrats, as detailed in the affidavit.

Item 15 a. of the affidavit, specifically mentions that Nancy Pelosi was DePape's target, because he considered her to be the leader of the pack of lies told by the Democratic Party. You can talk about this guy's lifestyle all you want to ... He has told the police that he was attempting to kidnap and violently assault Nancy Pelosi, because of her leadership standing within the Democratic Party.

^^^ That is not spin. ^^^

That is what is contained within DePape's recorded confession of crimes to the authorities.
That sounds like he held her personally reaponsible for the lies spread by the party...not all Democrats.....your spin is his hatred of Dems..
When more likely he is crazy and put his craziness on Pelosi

There was no spin to that post.

DePape told the police that he intended to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and break her kneecaps. The reason given, was that Nancy Pelosi was the leader of the pack of lies by the Democratic Party.

The only spinning being done here, is by you.

Again.....the crazy was focused on her...not the democratic party....he says that....as the leader for the pack of lies.....the spin is that your saying he was out looking for Dems...that's false..
You also stated that the GOP was quick to label him a liberal...but again in this very thread the first political finger pointed was by DD pointing to the GOP and Russia..so again. Everyone but liberals thought it was a lovers quarrel gone wrong..

So you're hoping he's a gay Maga guy? How does a guy get in the house of the 3rd most powerful person in the world?
