Pearce/Bowers Dust Up

19 is damn fool for coming back so early from the surgery. Lucky he didn't get hurt again.
Usually someone gets season ending injuries in this game. Oh that's right its normally a Tennessee guy. 😏

Wouldn’t surprise me . All this team has wanted to do all year is fight and act classless but of course volnation Applauded it …

The ole flag waiving at the end of the UConn game was disgraceful. CJH simply has no discipline and the penalty stats are here to stay..

This report aside, you make a good point about our team being undisciplined. We are one of the most penalized teams in the country, averaging 8.5 penalties per game.

Apparently it's so bad the officials are watching for it and ignoring the competition.

Guess i see things differently. Last season Hadden had a habit of being mouthy, not so much this year that's coaching. I don’t recall all those fights or acts of classless. Maybe you can remind us all.
I do remember UConn poking the bear as did Kentucky . I hope our team never becomes emotionless robots.
After gawgas first td there was a prolonged finger pointing at the UT fans. I understand it but dang sure didn't like it, do you think that showed class?

I looked closely and saw nothing
Anyone who's played the game knows that the jawing never stops and certain "liberties" are taken when on the ground and in a pile of players. Hands get stepped on, eyes get gouged, choking, etc. Not saying it's right, but it happens all the time....at least it did when I played.

I would bet the house on this being bullshat..
We have been under such a microscope this season. If our left guard farts before the snap, we get called for illegal procedure. I have a hard time believing that we spit on someone without being flagged for it.

At the very least, Pearce deserves to have his side of the story heard.

But there wasn’t a penalty thrown now was it? Also you don’t know what was said it even if Pearce spit on him. No media or Kirby has spoke on this at all to what caused this dust up. Also have you seen Pearce act like this all year? All of sudden he losses his **** and it’s only “errant” words right? Obviously it was bad enough to make him act in a way that he hasn’t all season. Some things are jsut off limits. He may have said something about his momma. But I refuse to accept the fact that he spit on Bowers till it’s addressed or confirmed by someone else other than a few UGA fans that don’t know **** either.

First off, go back and reread my original post, i.e. where I said if it happened, it's on Pearce.

Words are only words, though, and his reaction could have left an opening for a penalty. Our team has been hit with phantom calls all year, so to give the zebras an opening for another is just an example undisciplined, weak-minded play, regardless of what the other guy said. Playing with fire in one's belly is good and all...but when it's done between the whistles and has a net positive effect on the outcome of the game, it's great.

Because they don't exist.

I'm shocked by that picture......Will Brooks? Good for him. Glad he got to play.
Not sure how many snaps he got but it seemed he played a lot. Telander played a lot too. I think Wright had to play in the secondary too. We had guys all over the field that had not played much at all…due to injuries.

Of course we don't see the youngsters. I'm starting to think the plan for this year was to redshirt as many players as possible regardless of position. Won't say the staff raised the white flag, but I think they realized what we were and accepted what kind of year it would be. They're planning for Nico's year 2....or at least that's my suspicion.

I’m maybe a little too old school, but I always appreciate the guys that let their play do the talking. The one that bugs me the most this year is our Cam Newton-sized quarterback. Every time some 160lb defensive back tackles him for a 5 yard gain on 3rd and 8, he jumps up and mouths off to the guy in his face. I prefer my sports heroes a little more humble.

I could live with the penalties if you weren’t here to stay.

I'm right there with you on that! It's been frustrating for sure.

We’re seeing them now because of injuries.
