Pearl going after another transfer

This Fontan guy is not the solution to any perceived problem.

His stats: 35.6 mpg, 35% FG, 4.2 AST, 3.4 TO, 15 PPG (AT FORDHAM!)

Maze/Goins: 38.9 mpg, 42% FG, 6.5 AST, 3.0 TO, 14.1 PPG

Maze and Goins can handle the PG position and this season will show that, starting with the game tonight...

When we lose Maze he will provide depth and avoid us needing to rely as heavily on a true freshman. He also was playing on a horrible Fordham team where he was the best offensive option. Your FG % is much higher when you have better shots.

He has made a good reputation with the P.R. guys and with some other NY guys. Getting him to go with Tobias will really help us up in that area.

I value your opinion here, but do you not think we can get a more talented individual at PG given the limited scholarship situation we're dealing with?

Well, I would certainly hope they can handle it against Wyoming. If not, we have bigger problems than originally thought.

Fontan is a huge upgrade over Maze and Goins. Key word was "Fordham". He was the go to guy on that team. Being a freshman on a terrible team with a terrible coach, he'd do a lot better with a more supportive cast.
