Exactly. Also, it's just plain stupid. Putting a guy in that can't dribble, can't shoot, is slow and unathletic, and can't create is typically not the answer at point guard.

Goins can dribble, shoot, is fast and very athletic, yet had 2-3 assists in his last 3 games because he is not a pg. Skylar played backup pg well this year against nova, ga, and a couple more games. He had 6 assists in 60 minutes in those games vs Melvin with 7 assists in 100+ minutes. Skylar also played great D against Kimba-don't know how he does that if he is slow and unathletic, do you? D will be the key because SC will press of made buckets and Mcbee won't do great there, but he'll do fine in half court.

Very good points. Be warned, for having a different opinion you may be called stupid, crazy, or a moron. Mcbee having trouble against the press is why I think we may see Harris bring the ball up the court some, if not a lot. Just because McBee is in the 1 posisition, doesn't necessarily mean the offense will run through him. We ran the half court through Tyler Smith back in the day and he was a 4. I think Pearl just wants 5 guys on the floor that will do what he tells them to.

I fail to see how a change in PG will help when we don't run an offense in the half court.

I just don't understand why we don't have a pg that can clear the floor, bring Harris out for a pick and roll and have the 2 and 3 spotting up on the wing and corner. You mean to tell me a sr SEC pg has to have a coach teach him how to do that and actually call that play? That's what is ridiculous to me. It's basketball 101 and should have been taught before HS. These AAU coaches are destroying the basketball skills of some of these kids and correcting 10 yrs of bad habits with a 23 yr old juco transfer is a daunting task for any staff.

UT doesn't necessarily need him to create his on shots, or drive to the rim to score. He just needs to create plays for other players. He doesn't turn the ball over a lot, and with his limited minutes compared to other players to say he can't shoot is not fair. He has a better 3pt % than Tatum and Golden and very similar to Harris'.

He can't create for himself, much less for others.

Which he is completely incapable of doing. Have you bothered to watch him at all? When have you ever seen McBee making plays for others. Easy answer: never.

If he isn't a threat to drive or shoot, how is he going to create plays for others?

Common sense says when something isn't working you change it up. McBee may not be the answer, but the currect PG situation isn't either.

Maybe if McBee surprises us all and isn't the next Steve Nash, we can give Brian Williams a look.
