104.5 has Gary Parrish on right now. He is saying that the lying had nothing to do with the phone calls. Apparently, in fall of 08, (UF week @ that) the three mentioned players were in Knox for an OV. They somehow ended up @ BP's house, and a picutre was taken of BP and Craft. Sorry if already posted, merge if necesary.

This really is a bone-head move on BP's part. I understand that Collegiate coaching is a very competitive profession and these guys will do anything to gain the edge, but at some point common sense has to be present. I do not see this ending well for BP nor Tennessee atheletics. Hopefully, it will pass quickly and the harshes penalties are already in place so we can recover from this.

Parrish also made the point that once questioned, if he had just come clean, this would be half the trouble it is now. (Obviously) If he tells the AA the truth ab the visits, and admits that they were there. "We made a mistake, They were in town and we somehow let this happen, Were Sorry"

OMG...I am soooo over this...WTH was he thinking...so we are looking at probation with loss of schollys now and that is with BB, if football gets the same thing.....I might as well become a USCjr fan...we are in big trouble for a long long time...dagnabit Pearl!!! :rtfm:

Some people are "glass half full" types, others are "glass half empty" types and others think that the glass is full of NCAA urine and that we have to drink it.

How bout we let this play out before we pronounce the basketball program dead in the water?

Seems like we have a special case here- since Steven is Bruce's son. Couldn't they just be hanging out with Steven at his house?

Wait a second, I thought it was ok to host recruits at your home on an OFFICIAL VISIT? I thought the thing in question was the recruits were on an UNOFFICIAL VISIT, where no recruiting can be done off campus.?

So what? Maybe Steven Pearl just invited his new friends over to his parents house to meet his family.
