Pearl hosted Selby,Craft,McRae

It was an unofficial visit where you can provide no food or drink and cannot recruit them off campus. Very smart move to take a picture of the event. Pearl's days are going to be numbered when this all plays out. Apparently, he has a drinking/drug problem and makes decisions while under the influence or is just simply stupid.

Recruits visiting a basketball coach at his home with other players and friends. This is unquestionably the most heinous thing that has ever happened in collegiate athletics.

If it's true that this is what he lied about, then yes, he was very stupid. That doesn't seem like the kind of incident you get nailed for.

Barnhart is on Atlanta radio discussing this. Says he does not see how Pearl remains UT BB Coach.

I think it all depends on what else comes to light by the end of the investigation...I wouldn't be surprised if he is let go by the end of it

:furious3: I want to curse all over this page, and throw stuff, but...what difference would that make...thanks Pearl, Thanks Kiff, and thanks Mike Hamilton...it will be years before TN is ever back in any-kind of contention. Thank God my Redskins won, at least I can say we beat Dallas! This sucks! "YELL"

All of the issues that have been reported would be minor violations---why, then would Pearl lie about them? Logically, none of this makes any sense unless there are much more serious issues he was hoping would not be found.

I could have swore a read an article one time about a football recruit and his recruiting trip. It talked about how he went to the coaches house with other players and rode four wheelers while the parents talked. I thought this was ok as long as it was an OV???

Wait a second, I thought it was ok to host recruits at your home on an OFFICIAL VISIT? I thought the thing in question was the recruits were on an UNOFFICIAL VISIT, where no recruiting can be done off campus.?
^^This is the problem. It was an unofficial visit, and from what I read on one of the links posted on VN yesterday (not sure which one, sorry) BP denied knowing where the pic was taken even though it was his house....

If thats the best the NCAA can come up with to get him fired so be it. They'll get something else soon enough. Hell I let my Mother-in-law come over every now and again. That's a trillion times worse in my eyes:eek:lol:. I'd pay her to never come again but i guess that would get Bruce fired and on probation too. Cal gets away with murder everywhere and nothings said screw the ncaa.
