He's by far the best thing that has ever happened to Tennessee basketball. I love the fools on this thread that feel slighted we haven't gotten to the final four yet. Always bringing up the 2 NC's of florida and the sporadic successes of smaller schools with less talent in the Tourney. Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Duke and a handful of other schools will always have the elite of the elite players because of their history and success in basketball and their utter failure in Football. Without Bruce Pearl, we would still be at the caliber of an Alabama, Georgia or South Carolina. Not a prayer, not a chance and definitely no TV time. Thank you Pearl. Finally out of the desperate anticipation of wondering if we made the NIT tourney or not. By the way we used to lose in the first round there too.

I agree with this but I'm aware that he's not the #1 coach in the country as well. I'm 23 so I've only followed TN bball for 10 yrs or so and he is BY FAR the best coach we've had in that time imo. We, in his tenure are the ONLY program to finish better than KY 4 years in a row. Jus sayin, it is there division historically.

He has done quite a bit with very little, as you say. And you guys got a ton of press this weekend. But without a Final Four, he, and you, are just not on the radar screen come mid March. The regular season is about getting into, and obtaining, great seeding in the tournament. That is all.

UT is going to be the bracketbuster darling of the tournament. As soon as the brakects are announced on Selection Sunday, whoever has you in their bracket will be talking about how they dread playing you.

History tells us this isn't something to be excited about. And I don't mean lack of success either, I mean us being percieved as a challenger. I prefer bruce to have his back to the wall and the media to not give us a shot.

Pearl is a good coach but he isn't the #1 coach in the country, that is just ridiculous. He needs to do a better job in the NCAA tourney and eliminate the losses to mediocre teams. I feel UT can beat almost anyone in the tournament but at the same time they could go out in the first round. Team just needs more consistency but I think that will come when Pearl gets more talent. I think he has done a good job so far.

Can't find any on your own site, either I guess. The problem is you set what is intelligent, logical and so on. If one of our fans gets on hear and gives his coach some love, I could care less what you think about that. Read the op and you should of known it wasn't a post for your greatness!!!

Pearl is #1 in my book, just like I said. I only pull for Vols, so I don't have another coach. I'm not sure but I don't think you can tell me what to think and about who. My boy T started a thread to his guy some love and you know it all want to give him crap because he loves his coach. I'm just here to swap the flies, oops sorry you used that. I'm just using pooper shovel to help out!!:good!:

I like Bruce Pearl, I think he's been good for TN basketball, that being said, anyone trying to proclaim BP the best coach in the country while Tom Izzo, Coach K, Jim Boeheim and a couple of others are still coaching is either just a complete homer or absolutely clueless.
