+1 ! Sometimes I'm embarrassed by the way some of the people on here act and yes it is getting very old. You either a Vol fan or your not.

I really can't argue to say that he's the number 1 coach currently, sorry

I do like though that the media has now given him the nickname "Big Game Bruce" :)

FWIW, you cannot be be considered the #1 coach in your sport without a NC, much less a conference championship. Please allow common sense to take over at some point.

No way is he the number 1 coach out there......however he is in the top five. If you look at just the past five years even a shorter list. We are lucky to have this guy. I like the Big Game Bruce nickname also.

Love the post!! He's #1 in my book,anyway. It's funny to see the same old people on here running him down because of post season. When he does go there I wonder what they will say then. I noticed when Hat gave his re-cap this weekend, I did notice he said nothing about not beaten a team we should or some off slam against team, or how he didn't give us snowball chance in hot place, so I guess that's a peek into the future. Any way keep taken the fight to them!!!!:good!:

However you feel about Coach,He most likely won COY in the SEC with the wins over KU@ UK . thats great,if thats the goal.But,we caught a less than interested Kan team with a us against the world at home attitude and won.uk,to me seemed sluggish and somewhere else for abt 25 mins.UT won,that matter.but until we see players going to the nba,elite 8s,and national coach of the year awards,6 yrs of beating ky. isnt enough to be to say hes the best.

How many titles does he have? Do you see the potential to ever win a title under Pearl? He's good when we're down but thats not going to win titles. I cannot even begin to list the coaches that are better than Pearl. To call him the best coach in basketball is so moronic you should be shot

Nope. You don't win COY awards by losing the games he has lost. The Kansas win doesn't really count toward the SEC COY (maybe, but not really). I know the whole "but we had players suspended" feel good story, but thats not going to carry much weight.

Like BPV said, its between Cal and Stallings.

If I had a vote however, it goes to Stallings (unless they fall apart the next two games). He has done the same thing UK has with a lesser squad, and drummed UT twice where as UK dicked around.

Though Cal is a media darling, and could take it home as well.

#1 Coach in College basketball? Give me a break. There's no way you can say a guy that hasn't even made a Final Four is the best coach in basketball. And that's not being negative, that's just common sense.
