Wow I never thought BBB would pick up this much steam this early. Just imagine when CCM is canned, more and more people will get back on the Big Orange Bruce Train!! There is way too many fans that want Bruce here for this not to happen. Just can't wait to here the Bruuuuuuce Bruuuuuuce Bruuuuuuce chants again it's giving me cold chills just thinking about it :)

I think it was you that posted the link before the Memphis game and that was moving, thanks.

He won't speak about that in public with the season still going on.

I am actually surprised nothing was mentioned even in jest. I would guess there was a mutual agreement by both parties not to mention it beforehand. Now if Travis had have been there today....

"If I were the coach I would have told the players, get it in to Stokes on every play down the stretch and good luck trying to gaurd his big ass. I expected that and it just didnt happen."

I'm ready for Martin to go.
However, I'd like to think that our program is good enough that their isn't just one coach that can win here. Hiring Pearl back, in my opinion, would send the message that this one guy is bigger than the program. We can win, and win big, with more than just Bruce.

He may not be the only guy who can win here, but he's the only guy on the entire planet who's proven that he can win here. I'd rather rehire Bruce than take a chance on anyone else because no one else has proven a thing at UT.

So this coach you speak of has been hiding for over 100 years. Don't you think he may be a little old to be coaching basketball.

REALLY? Just how many times have we made it to the dance in the last 20 years? And how many games have we won IN THE DANCE in the last 20 years? And who has the coach been who has the record for most appearances and games won in the dance in the last 20--or even 30 years? :peace2:

haha well, be honest. Did you have any idea who the @#$# Bruce was when we hired him? It wasn't like he was this huge hire. We have the facilities, the fans, the winnable conference. I just don't think Bruce is this miracle worker.

I'll admit I didn't know who Bruce was when he was hired. But he did do some miraculous things while at UT.

Actually, there was quite a bit of positive press on Bruce prior to his signing with UT. He made a name for himself across the sporting nation with the success his Wisconsin-Milwaukee teams were having in the big dance, knocking off favorites like Alabama. Cuonzo is the one who was an unknown quantity before being hired by Hammy. It's true that Bruce is no Annie Sullivan, but UT ain't Helen Keller.

Lol I'm wiling to bet, that is the first Helen Keller "Miracle Worker" reference in the history of Volnation

I do not think Slive wanted Kiffin back in the SEC either. But he is at Alabama. I think the biggest problem is Cheeks,

I am with you bro. I've been saying this for a while. IMO, Cheek is the one that truly needs to go.

And for all these people saying CBP is bad for our program due to what he did....ever heard of forgiveness. The same people would be the first in line asking for forgiveness if they were to do something wrong. We've all needed it at some point and will probably need it again. Time will heal most all issues. Winning most certainly does.

For the record, I signed the petition too. I am not anti-CCM. I am simply pro-CBP.

GO VOLS!!!

Im just curious why are people blaming Dave Hart and Jimmy Cheek for the current state of the basketball team? Hart just got here and he addressed football, I'm sure he will address basketball next. What do you expect him to do? Fire him before we are even off the bubble?

Thank you. It's like when people realize we need a coaching change, then they expect a scorched earth solution immediately. There is a process and it aint exploding the team with 6 games left.
I realize that it seems far fetched, but what if we got on a run, won the SEC Tourney and made a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 run. Last years late season run was predicted by nobody too, due to the disappointing season leading up to it.

You're forgetting the great Ryan Childress.

For a half he was easiest the most impressive player in the history of ever. had he done even a third of what he did in the first half in the second in that sweet 16 game against Greg Oden, Mike Conley and co. Man Chilly was absolutely shredding the nets in the first half.
