My question to you and all anti-Pearloids is why do you think Pearl-supporters don't understand that he lied. I mean Jesus Christ, we get it. He lied. Lying's bad. No one's debating that. You think he should get fired, that's fine. I don't, that's fine too.

It's just funny as hell to see the rat get caught being dishonest. But even funnier to see the worshippers try and justify the actions of a man they deified.

It's not that he lied. It's that he spent 20 years talking about how he only snitched because of how strong his conscience was, and then cheated AND got caught lying about it. This likely isn't even close to over either. I don't think he should be fired right now, but I'm certainly more suspicious of him than I was before, and it amazes me that people have gone right back to kissing his feet and declaring that they're "100% behind him."

NYYVol, VKAman, I seriously do not think that people who still support Pearl were trying to justify it. As a supporter, it hurts me to know what he did when all things are in consideration like the Illinois stuff, of course. The fact that I still support him doesn't mean I'm worshiping him. It doesn't mean that I'm completely ignorant and unwilling to face the music. I just feel it's really unfair you guys overgeneralize Pearl's supporters as stupid. My argument has legitimate value just like yours does. The difference is that I'm willing to look at it from different perspectives.

I agree. I think he's in a position now that if anything else comes out other than what we've already seen, he's gone.

Its the lie he told about lying that gets me...he was caught and he knew it. The whole tearful apology..... he should be in the pulpit!
