Don't possibly understand how you could group Hopson with Tatum. Hopson is playing the best basketball of his career at the moment.Hopson's been scoring well as of late, but I get ticked off when he does the "statue salute or any other bs celebration after he scores. If the team was playing well I wouldn't mind it as much. Get your a** back and play some freaking D!
Im tired of Scotty and Tatum looking like they just smoked a fatty in the locker room before walking on the court. Tatum scored 5 points in about 30 seconds last night and that's about all he did for the game. He's better than that.

If anything Hopson is leading by example. He's been extremely active as of late on both ends of the court. A game ago he straight up put the team on his back and carried them to victory against a ranked team/rival in a hostile environment. The guy has done all that he can do. No leadership at the top, therefore no leadership on the court.Hopson is not the leader that he needs to be. Tatum needs to be a leader as well, but he has all but disappeared.

This quote from the article in the OP pretty much sums up my feelings on the matter. Pearl sounds like a moron whining about leadership on the team.“We have competitors,” he said. “We have no leaders.”
Hmmmm.
The coach suspended for eight games by his own conference for committing NCAA recruiting violations has decided his team has no leaders? The coach who not only lied to the NCAA about those violations, but also asked underclass recruits and their parents to lie for him has surmised his team has no leaders?
How could that be?

No excuse for Tatum, his ass should've been benched a long time ago. I really don't understand what's going on there, there has to be something going on we don't know about.
This has been our offense all year. We're in March now and it's yet to be corrected. I really don't see how Scotty could fix it, nor do I see why he should.Hopson needs to be more vocal though. I know Bruce isn't yelling for the players to stand around and look lost from the sidelines or cross midcourt and jack up a 3.

I do however wish he'd be more vocal in demanding the ball every time down the court and making/taking his own shot.
:salute: Post more often.Tatum's natural look = high. I see him randomly either on campus or out somewhere and he looks like he is high.
Yes this team lacks leadership that has been apparent since the beginning of the season. Just because you score most of the points doesnt mean you are a leader. Part of being a leader is making others around you better and Scotty is not doing that. Leaders also ignite passion in others. I have seen Scotty more on the receiving in of that than the giving. In fact I have never seen Scotty in anybody's face saying they need to do better.
Our seniors cant be leaders because they arent the go to guys. i remember Brian saying that he was ready to be a leader for this team near the end of last season. i wonder what happened to that.
Bruce is right we have no leaders and as of late he hasnt been much of a leader either.
Call me crazy, but I'd think the guy making 2 mil is the one who should be leading.
