Pearl wanted as HC at

Someone will absolutely take a chance on Pearl. Depending on how BC does in the next couple years, I would keep an eye on Bruce depending on how that goes.

His style the past 2 seasons, if worked on and several tweaks made on the offensive end could work out. If Golden State's offense can score triple digit averages in the NBA mainly off transition, Pearl could have success in the D-League depending on his roster of course. I bet you he would bring in C-Lo immediately

Golden State runs Don Nelson's offense. To compare his basketball knowledge to Bruce Pearl's is beyond asinine.

It could be great. He could be there and welcome Scotty and continue to develop him to his fullest potential.

I may change my mind in a year or so. Time will tell.[/QUOTE

After a couple 10 win seasons, there will be a lot of people jumping back on the Pearl bandwagon.

UT maybe getting ready to experience a lull, but asserting they will encounter ten-win seasons is a bit much.

Well, he's bound to coach again somewhere. Good coaches are not that easy to find and there's always an opening just begging for a man with a proven track record. In any case, should the Cuonzo experiment not work out, Bruce knows he'll be welcomed back to Knoxville with open arms, especially since Hamilton will probably be gone soon.

Anyone who says B/P can't coach has been asleep the last 5 years. :shaking2:

I can't believe some of you actually believe that's a possibility.

Good luck, CBP. Thanks for bringing excitement back to Tennessee basketball. Forget the haters...they are what they are.

Yes Bruce did some good things for this program and got is nationaly known. But it blows my mind that Pearl lovers can't seem understand that Bruce cut his own throat by LYING, Bruce himself is the one who lied. Bruce is now the reason we have a somewhat depleted roster.

He's never coming back. Get over it.

The only way Martin will be fired in 2 years is if he gets UT in further NCAA trouble. Unfortunately for the Pearlophiles, Martin actually appears to have integrity, the quality their hero lacked that now leaves him unemployed.

I hope this is sarcasm. Bruce's charm wore off with the pressing defense. He was bailed out with some above avg IQ bball players at the end of last year. Something about the dynamic of that team changed after Smith left though. I can't completely say what that was about. But Pearl isn't a great coach.

I think most "Pearl lovers" as you referred to realize he is the one to blame for this mess....but the problem starts with trying to rewrite history as it were....seems silly to actually have to write it down but CBP was a great coach for UT....moved us into an area where we had never been...now one must be a revisionist to state otherwise...if you hated CBP man up and admit it but at least be honest on the assessment of his teams and coaching abilities....

I Like your choice of teams but your assessment of the years with Bruce are, well, just not true...seems to me he took some very average ball players and won a ton of games...but we can love our Cardinals, Vols and Titans and move on...we just disagree about CBP.... :salute:

It amazes me to see that people want him back if Martin doesn't work out
Some of us didn't want to see him fired.....that said I like the coach Martin hire and I hope one day I have the same confidence in him that I had in Pearl.

Anyone who still, for some reason, doesn't understand why Pearl was fired should finally figure it out sometime next month.
