PEARLIE GRAVES, DT, 6-3, 260, 4.9, TULSA (EAST CENTRAL), OKLAHOMA

Pearlie committed to Michigan but is re-opening his recruitment. Pearlie has already visited Michigan and Texas Tech. Pearlie said he has no favorites and will decide on signing day.

Michigan visit

“Michigan was exciting.” Graves said. “The coaching staff was really good. I got to meet Coach Rodriguez he’s a nice guy. I met some of the players too they are a good bunch of guys, I got to hang out with some of them.”

“Coach Rodriguez said they will be a better team next year and will get the program turned around. He said there was a good chance of playing my freshman year, maybe start at defensive end.” Graves said

“I like the Big 10 conference there is more out there.” Graves added

Academics

“I like Texas Tech academics,” Graves said. “That stood out the most. Texas Tech coaches told me I would get a lot of playing time as a freshman.”

“I like the Texas Tech players I got to hang out with Michael Crabtree and some other players. I know some former players that use to play at Texas Tech and they liked it a lot.” Graves added

Sooners back into it

“I will take my official visit to Oklahoma in January. I did see the Oklahoma and Kansas game on an unofficial visit. The game was real fast the defense plays very fast.” Graves said

“I like Oklahoma they are a great program, the last couple of years they are National Championship type of teams.” Graves said

“I like Coach Jackie (Shipp) he’s a good guy. I know he will take good care of me.” Graves added

Graves said he is not receiving any pressure to sign with Oklahoma. He also said that Michigan is recruiting him the hardest they send him letters all the time at home.

Food and lodging

“At Texas Tech we ate at a lot of Italian restaurants. It was good food," Graves said. “Michigan we ate at a lot of restaurants that I didn’t hear of. I had a lot of steak there. I ordered too much food that I took some back to my room and ate it the next day.”

“The place I stayed at Michigan was a real nice suite. It was fun they rolled out the red carpet.” Graves added

Any reason we should watch this guy, Rex? He doesn't appear to have us on his list.

I noticed that a Gator commit de-committed yesterday as well. Reid was his name I think. 4* ATH being recruited to play DB.

Who was it that predicted some new names would pop up in the next few days? Oh, it was me. :pepper:

I look forward to your morning updates, Rex.

We begin this edition of the War Room like we do every week with a couple of ground rules. Everything that is reported in the War Room must stay in the War Room. That is how this works. The information in War Room is detailed to the point that it does not need to be passed beyond the doors of this post. This is a special feature for subscribers only, which is why it is posted on the premium board. Posting here is the only way to ensure that the information is exclusive to The General’s Quarters. Anyway the War Room will only work if everyone helps make it work…now that no one has read this like a paper delivered in a car... on with the news.

Rex, do you forget to read this part every week? You are not supposed to repost that information.

Rex is not quoting the guy..he pays $ to gain knowledge and it is up to rex to do what he wants with that gained knowledge

No harm done

Except that the man providing the information does so with one caveat. The information, though "paid for", is required to stay in the War Room.

The ground rules are crystal clear.

I'm not a war room member....just don't care enough about the potential info to pay for it. But I can appreciate an agreement - and Hubbs provides that info to members on an honor-code kind of system. He asks that the information remain in the war room, and trusts that it will be. Obviously, it isn't.

I disagree completely. there is no copy and paste, just a paraphrase.

what you guys dont understand or agree with is that imo Rival's does not own information. they may own the specific content, which is why the copy and paste is not acceptable, but they do not own the info.

If Hubbs doesn't like it, then he doesn't have to take the $10 a month. I don't see him revoking any paying members' membership over it. He can do nothing to stop people from re-posting the information he provides. The intro to the War Room is designed to make paying members feel like they are part of some kind of privileged club more than it is meant to deter anyone from repeating what they read. The Rivals free boards are full of War Room info and nothing is ever done to stop it.

If the War Room conditions stated "Don't copy and paste this material elsewhere," I'd be in full agreement with you.

But the conditions state that "everything that is reported in the war room must stay in the war room."

If the War Room is the source of your info that Graves is now setting up an official visit with UT, then I'd say you took war room information outside the war room. Not that I really care...just felt like jumping into a discussion on a boring Friday morning.

it comes down to the fact the Brent does not own the information, period.

It's just a bunch of words designed to make members feel special. Hubbs knows good and well that the information is not going to stay there. He's more concerned with being the first to report the information than he is it not getting out. It's about acquiring and keeping paying members. That's it.

The "War Room" is just an illusion. You can't steal the copy, there are laws against that - though they are rarely, if ever enforced, but he can do nothing about the information getting out.

Of course he "can do nothing to stop people from re-posting" the info. He's not some omnipresent governing force. Further, I'd argue that it's completely unrealistic for him to think that the information will be kept in the war room. That said, the ground rules are clearly stated - thus, reposting info from the war room is a violation of the war room rules.

feel free to pm me at any time concerning any issue anyone may have, but lets leave it off of the board just as a simple courtesy to people wanting to actually read or debate something that pertains to recruiting.

It may not be privileged information, but it's a gentleman's agreement to keep it in there for a few days or so. I don't have a problem either way, but I think that if Brent wanted the info posted directly after a person reads it he wouldn't make a War Room instead he would make individual articles to let everyone know what was going on. I don't care one way or another Rex, but you might want to check with Freak about posting the War Room info so that way no one gets in trouble or anything like that.
