I mentioned earlier that Michigan is looking for another wide receiver, and the Wolverines also would love to add a quarterback to the 2009 class if they could get a good one. Tallahassee (Fla.) Leon's Austin Dantin will visit this weekend, and the staff will decide whether to offer while he's in Ann Arbor. They have continued to reach out to Boyd, but he's taken all five of his official visits and hasn't responded with interest. Another possibility is Fort Meade (Md.) High quarterback Raymond Cotton, but he appears to want to head south. If Dantin isn't the guy, it will be interesting to see if Wolverines coaches continue to look or hold the scholarship and go after two in 2010. The 2010 quarterback class is loaded. Meanwhile, Michigan is hoping to hold onto defensive tackle Pearlie Graves of Tulsa (Okla.) East Central, but he will visit Oklahoma this weekend and the Sooners may land him if they push hard enough.

Graves did not visit OU this weekend. He had a wrestling tournament. It is unknown if he will go to OU next weekend or not.

It's not like he didn't know he had a wrestling match this weekend. You don't just forget about that.

apparently after RichRod's in home last night, people are feeling a lot better about Pearlie sticking with Michigan.

Was it always common knowledge that he wasn't going to make the grade? or did I just miss that part?

No OU for Graves

Tulsa East Central defensive lineman Pearlie Graves apparently no longer holds a scholarship offer to Oklahoma, according to the recruiting Web site Rivals.com. Graves, a four-star recruit, had been planning to take an official visit to OU this weekend.

Instead, Graves will probably end up signing with Michigan, with whom he’s been committed since November.

Actually, everything I've read says that he is on track to commit, that all of the stuff about him not being able to qualify is old news and has since been taken care of.

It's a TTU and UM battle from other stuff I've heard now too.

This is the most surprising commit of the day in my opinion... Texas Tech? He could have gone to play D for Monte. He could have played for Oklahoma who is fresh off the NC game. He also could've gone somewhere with more tradition like Michigan. But Texas Tech? I guess he will get immediate playing time since they don't have a defense there. I'm just really confused by him picking Texas Tech.
