Hmm..isn't this the same guy that was asking players to stay (even though they can't go to a bowl game and the program is basically trash right now) for the love of Penn State or something like that? I know it's about money and Texas is huge but wow what a hypocrit.

I don't understand the people who say they don't care if he leaves, or even wish he stays.

The second James Franklin leaves Vanderbilt, UT gets better. We need that game to become an automatic win, and we need less competition for instate recruits. Franklin leaving will makes Butch's job a lot easier.

It sounds all big and tough to say you want to beat the better competition, but this league will never be shy of good teams.

Is Mack Brown retiring after leaving Texas? Reason I ask is you don't hear his name for any other job. Are people considering him washed up? Just wondering.

I'll agree with this IF he takes his defensive staff with him. JF's offense is abysmal, but his dc is top notch.

One more thing. Everyone notice that his name is associated with every vacancy and never any news of interviews? JF is begging to get out of Nashville and his agent is tossing his name in any and every hat. I dont think he goes anywhere.

Munchak is under contract, which means he can't leave for Penn State. Titans would have to fire Munchak for that to be possible.

Paul Kuharsky said so, at least, so there's a possibility it's wrong.

I don't see Penn St hiring a guy with connections to an on going rape case considering their past 4-5 years.

Going to be funny when Franklin leaves. Vanderbilt's recruits will all decommit because the school is a perennial loser with a small stadium and high school like facilities. Their miserable fans have a thread on their forum that's about Butch Jones and all they're doing is trashing him and Tennessee. Most of the time they can only find pleasure when Tennessee loses because Vanderbilt consistently only wins 2-4 games a year. The team will turn to trash, just like their fans. They talk crap about how Tennessee fans are so stupid and yet half of their posters have poor grammar and posts riddled with spelling errors. They're the sorest winners I've ever seen and it's going to be hilarious when Franklin leaves.

I'm not kidding when I say their fans are disgusting people. They were actually relishing in the fact that Penn State had the rape scandal and Franklin was involved in a rape scandal. They believe that's why Penn State won't hire him and they're excited about that... they're excited they get to keep their coach because their coach was involved in a rape scandal. How screwed up is that?

Penn State fans would go apeshat if JF was hired. I hope it happens, but I'm thinking they will go with GS and feel like they won the lottery.
