Penn State's next head coach?

Actually, they need a Derek Dooley. Clean, upstanding, vanilla, noncontroversial. Won't make them competitive on the field, but help clean up the image so they can build a solid foundation.

What they really need is a Will Muschamp. A guy that will bring...well, on second thought, I don't think Muschamp has anything to offer other than being a complete clown.

I think Urban could be the coach, as for an AD how about Matt Millan...wasn't he the GM for the Detroit Lions for a while?

They can have Matt Millen. I'm sure Penn State would appreciate him running their program into the ground. He'd force the coaching staff to exclusively recruit wide receivers and no one else.

That would be a really hard job to take. You have most of the students that still support JoePa and will be upset and then you got the rest of the world that want to see change in that program because of what's happened. Your pretty much screwed any way you go there.

It's going to have to be an old Penn St guy.

Probably so, the ironic thing here is that Golden is drawing the same salary at Miami that Joe is,... $1.5M.

Penn State is going to have to open the pocketbook. This is a mess but it will all blow over in time, its still a Top 10 job and demands Top 10 money, $3.5+.

Poor Al Golden, he walked into a meat grinder at UM and now his dream job is radioactive. I suppose he'll stick with Miami for the time being or until their football program gets dismantled.

I wonder if there could be any appeal to being "the man that cleaned up Penn St". Surely someone out there could be attracted to that angle...

Agreed. They certainly don't want a Will Muschamp. Delusional, loud, controversial, mentally unstable. Still won't make them competitive on the field, and would only do further damage to the university's image.
