Penn State's next head coach?

Matt Millen. Proud PSU alum. If he fails, no one would be surprised considering his work in Detroit and following a legend. If he succeeds, it'll be a major feather in his cap.

I think Urban could be the coach, as for an AD how about Matt Millan...wasn't he the GM for the Detroit Lions for a while?

LOL! Yes. It went so well for him at Detroit too. He could quite possibly go down as one of the worst NFL GM's of all time.

I would go with Kirby Smart, a defensive minded coach who is young, linebacker U sounds like a good fit for him.

Coughlin needs somebody to clean house and get everything in line. He would not coach that long, but long enough for some of the stigma to go away and Penn State could look for a long term replacement.

No way Penn State gets a coach even close to that good.

They are potentially going to be staring down the possibility of paying millions upon millions of dollars in the wake of all of this.

Joe Pa is not fired! I do not know where you all are getting this information. He is expected to coach here for the next 25 years. He is not going anywhere....

I don't know if I agree. They have 14+billion in endowments, the 2nd largest stadium in the country, great facilities, a tradition for great football and a rabidly loyal fanbase. Sure their national reputation has taken a huge hit but that can be rebuilt by almost anyone. In the end, everyone will say JoePa took one for the team, but Sandusky will be the one everyone hates. I think we see coaches line up for an interview for this one.

Firstly, they will be losing their recruits. Good coaches don't go to places where they know they will be in for long-term rebuilding contracts. Second, think it would be easy to get football players to willingly practice in facilities where they know long term serial child rape took place? I wouldn't. Third, yes, Penn State has a lot of money. A lot of money they will be needing every dime of to cushion them against decreased tuition, football attendance, ratings, and last but certainly not least, a sum of money rivaling the New York Yankees payroll to handle fines from the federal government and scores of criminal and civil law suits.
