There's no elaboration. I'm not an expert and a quick search online indicates that water molecules are ~27nm. Size ranges for viruses start at 20nm.
Hmm...I would have guessed off the top of my head that a water molecule is smaller (it being composed of 3 atoms, two of which are the smallest atoms ever whereas a virus is made of proteins and DNA or RNA which are of the very largest molecules ever)...but whatever, you Googled it.
