Perhaps we dodged a bullet when Kiffin left...

Wow is correct, although I'm afraid to say that we probably have several fans like that as well...cue mattresses...

Dodged a bullet? Kiffin won more SEC games in his first year here than Dooley did in 3.

With a roster that had Eric Berry and was built to win 8 or 9 games. Not defending Dooley, but Kiffin certainly wasn't a great coach. Remember that clunker of a home loss to UCLA or getting blown out by a Houston Nutt-coached Ole Miss squad?

We dodged a big bullet in several ways.
First of all, we dodged the NCAA violations bullet, had Kiffin remained here.
Secondly, we dodged the Brian Kelly bullet. Imagine if Kelly had been hired, then by seasons end, he leaves U.T. to go to his dream job at Notre Dame.
Thirdly, imagine if Fulmer had stayed here and Taj Boyd was our q.b. now. Or perhaps the kid who played at Ole Miss last season was our current q.b.... I can just imagine how poorly the team would perform if Bray were not the q.b.... Our offense is one of our bright spots on the team, with Bray...

First I doubt Kelly would have left Tennessee for Notre Dame, it only became his dream job after he accepted it.

Second Kelly would have torn it up with Taj Boyd, I don't think he'd leave with a perfect QB for his system in the fold.
