i understand totally what your saying, but it is impossible for me to tell when the play was blown dead and if when the cardinal player was appearing like he was taking himself out of the play correlates with the play being blown dead. flags were on the ground when it appears that he was trying to get up and move away from the block. it would just clear it up a little more.
Neither of the players involved with this play could see that fair catch signal.
Princess Lesean warrants such desecription, as does any stance taken using that as fodder to fit your cause.
i'd rather you just come up with your own thoughts than link this as something that defines how you think or as evidence as to why you have the opinion you do.
i respect your opinion, however being in the motion of a punch and then hitting with an open hand doesn't count as a punch or o-linemen would be called for that on every play. no player can take himself out of a play. until the whistle blows every player is game. if it had been a cardinal being the aggresser, i would defend him.
Not the same thing. Rules vary depending on the situation. Can you flat out block below the waist anytime? No. If another lineman has a guy engaged then it is illegal. There are plenty of rules that revolve around the idea of a player being defenseless or in a vulnerable position.
this not being an example of one. the player wanted no part of harrison and looked as if he quit while the play was going on. if the defender had been trying the play would not have looked as vicious.
Actually it is. It falls right into unncessary roughness and does not happen all the time, as you claim. Dude was in fetal position practically and JH threw his arm into his back. I don't ever recall seeing that as a normal football play that "happens all the time".
is it normal for an uninjured nfl player to be in the fetal position during a live play? i'm sure they will bring that up during preseason nfl meetings. while in the fetal position no player shall be touched or harmed in any way.
Actually it is quite legal to keep him down. Nothing wrong with that. No need to have meetings on it, they already have a penalty that is called unnecessary roughness. I am still waiting to hear more on these games where you see this all the time.
the flag wasn't thrown for the shot to the back. the shot to the back was a little weak, also. so no, it's not called unnecessary roughness. i don't understand waiting to hear on these games. if you have one recorded, watch it. other than that, i can't help you.
