Speaking from my own experience from owning an English bulldog from 15-22 years ago, they come with serious health concerns. Hip problems, heart problems and skin problems are the norm. Their respiratory system is compromised, so it is very risky to anesthetize them if they need surgery. You also have to be careful to keep them out of hot weather. They have to be kept in an air-conditioned environment and supervised. They become overheated very easily. That is probably the most needy breed that there is. They can't even breed without assistance (I'm not kidding!).[/QUOTE. Yep I have read they are the most unhealthy dog breed in the world.. it’s why I’ve never understood why UGA is so proud of their mascot.. Go worthless tub of slobber and lard!! Go, fight, go!!
