Pete Buttigieg on paternity leave during supply chain crisis...

I don't give a crap if he is gay, straight or anything else, it isn't my business, doesn't affect me.......

What does affect me is a brewing crisis, and he is absent and there appears to have been no foresight to head this off.... Which begs the question, why?

It's essential time, either he is or he isn't, if he isn't step aside. I would think and say this whether he were man or woman, sexuality doesn't matter. Incompetence and or absence does.
Can he do the job or not? His actions in south bend tell me no.

I'm taking about foresight to head off a looming crisis like the one we're seeing now. As I stated elsewhere we are at all hands on deck status now, or should be, to prevent this from getting worse. Given his position it isn't out of the question or unreasonable to ask where he is right now. He's needed now, he's either essential or he isn't..... If he's not needed now then he isn't at all.
And he is here now, and has been on major decisions while on leave. Folks knew were Pete has been since August. he delegated his other responsibilities to his number 2 at DOT. Fox News just latched on to this last night and is trying to make it a thing for other reasons, and it is working apparently. This has all been out in the open since August, it isn't like he disappeared for 6 weeks and didn't tell anybody about it.

This is worse than the football forum lol. I feel like I'm beating a dead horse in this thread.

I don't need you to look it up for me, because I know it hasn't been confirmed. You made the assertion, it is on you to prove it with a source.

My goodness aren’t your knickers in a wad. I merely stated what I had seen reported. It wasn’t a slam on your idol and actually using a surrogate would be a great thing due to the additional thought involved in planning for children.

At this point you can’t prove they didn’t or you already would have, so I don’t have to prove anything here either. If anyone actually cares enough to look into it further I’m sure they will. I however, don’t care.

The prestigiousness of attending those universities disappeared some time ago. It’s pretty much any university nowadays.
The prestige of attending an Ivy League school hasn't diminished at all. Certainly you can come out of almost any university as prepared for the real world as you can an Ivy League school. It's difficult for most to gain acceptance is why they are still prestigious. High paying job opportunities are more abundant for an Ivy League graduate as a result.

Of course none of them are as good as Stanford

You are correct, I don't know for sure either. Apologies for coming across as snippy, that wasn't my intent.

Weird you mention his South Bend record as if it was a bad thing. He was reelected by over 80% for his second term as mayor, and is beloved by the South Bend community.
Elections today are popularity contests. I'm not familiar with Pete's South Bend record so I'm not trying to besmirch it, but winning reelection by 80% doesn't necessarily mean he was great at his job. It could simply mean he was more likable than his opponent. We've seen in recent Presidential elections that sometimes you just get two bad choices and one has to win. I truly wish there was a strong independent candidate who would step forth and who could draw the vote. Someone who does not pledge allegiance to one side or the other, someone who understands what true compromise is, and that it's not all about getting your way. Politicians have become the ruling class. They've forgotten they are the servants of the citizens and that it's not the other way around. Politicians are not put into office to chase power and push agendas. They are there to represent the people of this country. Their concerns should lie with what their constituents need and want, but they rarely do, instead chasing after party glory and power.

Good thing Pete is nothing like you just described.
Gonna be hard to get a third party to ever take off in any meaningful way, aside from spoiling the outcome. I don't like it either, but that is just the way it is right now.

Depends on the major. If it is a humanities or social science major then there is a payout for Ivy’s compared to Podunk St. If it’s science or engineering then there is not much of a boost in income because the science and engineering at Ivy U is the same science and engineering at Podunk St.

If he's here and on duty he's not been very effective. Bottlenecks like these can crash economies in weakened positions like the one we're currently living. It isn't all on him, don't get me wrong, but this appears to be another failure in an administration that can't afford it. It certainly lends credence to the assertions others have made that he isn't up to the job. I personally don't know his background other than he's apparently Ivy League.

SB has a lead problem, pothole problem and a stunning downtown. I’ve been to SB in the last 3 years. The rest isn’t so stunning, it’s a ghetto. Murder rate didn’t decrease at all. He admitted he failed at diversifying the police force, which is highly corrupt. His housing administration got raided by the fbi for shenanigans going on last year. His thousand house plan worked, he tore down a thousand houses but clouds of lead containing dust blanketed occupied homes and the empty lots ended up as trash dumps.
Doesn’t sounds like success to me. Sounds like Pete can spin.

The black community was very critical of Mayor Pete in his last year while the elites painted him as a success.

Lol. Matt Gaetz should go to jail, if proven, but Harvey Milk deserved to be murdered based on one allegation you read in the comments section at the Daily Stormer.

But hey, now you’re walking it back so it’s basically like it never happened, right?

The Daily Stormer? I can't insult your intellect more than you just did. Again, Milk was not killed for his sexuality, nor can I walk back something YOU said. The issue is child predation, not the relations of adult gays, you bomb-throwing goof.

And it's a bit more than than "one allegation".

He had an active gay sex life by age 14. Milk's personal friend and biographer, SF Chronicle reporter and "gay historian" Randy Shilts in his 1982 bio "Mayor of Castro Street", relates "Harvey always had a penchant for young waifs with substance abuse problems”. He wrote Milk became had a live-in relationship with a 16 y.o. named Galen Jack McKinley when he was 33; there's a Christmas photo of them in the public domain released by Milk's estate. Shilts bio is unchallenged. Because no one really cares, and no one in the gay community accuses him of being a of neo-Nazi.

The Gerard Dols family filed a complaint with the MInnesota AG that MIlk had told their 17-yo son to run away to SF, with the letter of instructions Milk sent to their son. Gerard Dols has related this numerous times. He said he spoke to Milk's 25 y.o. lover Jack Lira on the phone regarding flight plans: Lira accused him of coming to steal MIlk away from him and committed suicide that evening.

These aren't secrets in the gay community, or to the left. Now, bring me THAT on Gaetz and you'll have a point. Gaetz is being investigated; Milk never was.

Everything you just posted is just ridiculous, but I'll play along I guess.

Pete didn't improve the entirety of South Ben. Pete owns up to a mistake he made as mayor, publicly I might add, I know you are accustomed to tfg, but that ain't how normal people act.

That there shows you don't know what you are talking about.
